Very fast, very cheap, tons of toppings and Indian to boot. I’ll never order from an over-priced chain again– not after Camy’s.

Camy’s is my second favourite pizza place in all of Vancouver. It’s the kind of pizza that is so cheap, so salty, so cheesy and so massive that you really have to commit yourself to a night of sedentary lounging while you digest. I’ve never stepped foot inside of Camy’s, and I don’t think I want to. Why would I when they have fast and free delivery with debit at the door? Their creamy paneer pizza is by far the best pizza on the menu, but it truly is the ghetto equivalent of Pizza Hut which means that this is the kind of pizza that makes you hate yourself after. Are you enticed yet? Seriously though. Fast delivery, insanely cheap, fresh ingredients and a clever ethnic spin on toppings. You can’t go wrong. It’s the best.

Whoever came up with the idea of fusing Indian food with pizza is a genius. Seriously, that person deserves and an award or at the very least, a gold star. Located at Fraser &41st, Camy’s is in a small strip of shops. It is a little hole in the wall that you probably wouldn’t notice unless you were looking for it. It’s not much to look at on the inside or out but they make tasty pizza, which is the only important part. The shop itself is super small, so really not the place to hang out and enjoy your food. This Camy’s used to be one of my go to places for lunch when I worked in the area. My personal favourite is the tandoori chicken pizza. You can buy it by the slice or get a whole pizza for delivery/pickup. The by the slice pieces can sell out during the lunch hour, thanks to this pizza shop being only a block away from a high school. I used to take my lunch early so I could get a slice to take back to the office before the teenagers descend on the place and devour everything that is not nailed down. The by the slice take out is usually placed on a paper plate and then put into a paper bag, so don’t get more than 2 slices or else it will be a mess. Our office found them very accommodating when we’d place large orders for staff parties. We were always able to get more than enough pizzas in a timely manner to feed the whole office and there were enough topping options to please everyone, not an easy feat for a staff of a couple dozen.

Good first, then the bad… Good: ordered the butter chicken and shahi paneer, both were unique and had great flavor, and the people running the place seemed really nice. always great to support independent family run operations. Bad: I have no problem with divey food spots, but their 41st ave location is pretty filthy. I wouldn’t mention it were it not for the fact I found a hair in my pizza. Pizza was also pretty salty, and by salty i mean I felt hungover after three slices. Kind of like how you feel when you’re 12 and you wake up the morning after eating two family sized bags of doritos single handedly.

Both their butter chicken and veggie pizzas are pretty good. Very generous with the toppings. The crust is a bit think, but that is exactly what I like!

Seeing that this shop is in the heart of Little India and offering various Indian styled toppings it’d be only righteous to try out something different and be adventurous with a bit of fusion. As other reviewers have suggested– butter chicken. The staff recommended the Creamy Veggie Paneer as I wanted a veggie balance with the meat. The two pizzas had different sauces which made for a good pairing with some variety. Ingredients were fairly fresh and he crust was standard medium thickness with a good crispness at the ends. They did not skimp on toppings but the butter chicken’s tomato cream sauce was not quite as creamy and buttery at the Indian restaurants but the tomato cream did have a nice bit of tang. I have had more flavorful paneer as well but this is 2 for 1 type pizza joint(eg not gourmet) so it’s very well priced and really does satisfy. I’ll be back to try out other Indian style offering in the near future.

Despite the fact that I have never been inside this establishment, as I always get delivery, and cleanliness in a restaurant is a plus for sure… That being said, I would eat this pizza after it had been dropped on a shag carpet that hadn’t been vacuumed since the 70’s & that a cat had recently given birth on. The butter chicken pizza is probably the most magical thing to ever have hit my taste buds in my life, seeing as both times I’ve tried acid it just never kicked in… All I’m gonna add to this is that if you do try it, it will destroy your desire to eat any other kinds of pizza, next time you are at a friends house & they order a ham & pineapple, you just might want to fart on it.
Butter chicken pizza is the only thing to order. If looking for more traditional go somewhere else But the butter chicken pizza is great. Pay attention to the heat scale. I love hot food and the medium is tolerable. Can’t imagine what the hot is

Should’ve known better when one time I ordered takeout for a few slices, server tried to ‘bend’ them so they would fit in the paper bag haha. Just average, nothing to write home about. Average toppings, & crust wasn’t special. Figured that with a high school kiddy corner, this is their prime market so no need to impress? Small parking lot of about 8 spots, tough to find. It’s either a 1 or 2 star at best as I can’t bring myself to recommend this to any other Unilocalers.

I had Camy’s for the first time in a really long time last night. It was almost 11pm and we hadn’t eaten much all day and had some fond memories of the shahi paneer pizza. It took almost an hour to arrive when they said 40 minutes which is pretty typical and not even that bad for delivered food in Vancouver. It was exactly like I remembered; salty, cheesy and not that bad of crust for a cheap 2 for joint. The salt really got to me this time around, though, I was parched all night and did not feel all that great in the tummy. My friends came over today and they said they could still smell it in our house! I will keep it to my once a year order, and, oh, don’t bother with the non Indian flavours, they’re not worth your while at all.(23 of 30)

our family loves ordering from here. Quality pizza and they don’t cheap out on the toppings. Try something unusual for the adults(tandoori chicken) and standard for the kids. 2 large $ 25 is perfect. We prefer this over the more ‘elegant’ pizza places like Zachary’s. Kids like the sauce as it’s not to spicy. We drive from Arbutus to pick up. But i have to agree with Gina, could be a bit cleaner.

I love Camy’s pizza, but if they don’t start cleaning up their place, I’m never going in there again. I almost didn’t want to take my pizza home or pay for it, but I did. So far so good, I’m not sick(it is good though, sigh). Hopefully they’ll wake up a bit and realize their floors are disgusting, their side heaters are caked with dirt and even the kitchen area doesn’t seem sanitized well.

Indian food + pizza = delicious. We had the Shahi Paneer pizza and the butter chicken pizza. Both were yummy and very fresh. You can adjust the level of spiciness as well as add ginger/cilantro to your pizza. Definitely a great twist on your regular pizza.

For my taste, this is pretty near the ideal pizza pie. The crust has a nice chew, the sauces are zesty but, not too spicy for my children. The toppings are tasty and generous. The unique butter chicken pizza is a treat and real quality. The price is right. Wash this down with some cold beer, how could you ask for anything more. This is an excellent, neighborhood pizza parlour.

Ordering pizza is always the lazy decision for us, whether it’s because there’s nothing in the fridge to cook or because we’re just too exhausted after another day of boy-herding. It follows, then, that changing pizza suppliers is not a common occurrence. Panago’s number is programmed into the phone and if cooking is too hard then trying to find all those other pizza menus that have fallen down behind the fridge seems a task of Herculean proportions. It takes an exceptional or serendipitous moment to overcome the ho-hum of just ordering another medium meatball and a medium primo pollo. My introduction to Camy’s was just such an event. It was a pizza lunch for my son’s soccer team. The coach, a man who can trace his origins back to the home of chicken curry(Scotland) asked me if I’d every tried their butter chicken pizza. I said no, then proceeded to wax lyrical about a tandoori chicken pizza we used to get back in England. Fortunately he stopped me before I got too wordy and offered me a slice. By jingo, it was good. A week later, it’s family movie night, and the memory of the butter chicken helps me overcome my pizza inertia. A quick chat with Mr Google showed me the way to Camy’s web site and we placed our order. They delivered promptly and correctly, the price was very reasonable and my goodness, that butter chicken tasted even better the second time round. Add a side serving of mango chutney(model’s own) and it’s true pizza nirvana. Pana-who?

mmmmmmmm… Butter Chicken pizza!!! enough said! i’ve had a few staff meetings where i’ve ordered from this place and the butter chicken usually is devoured first. its well done and not just a novelty for the sake of being a novelty they have a variety of other specialty ones too that are also available at other pizza places. greek, bbq chicken, house special and so on they are not stingy with the toppings. and the price is decent. 2 mediums are low 20’s and 2 larges are mid-high 20s if you negotiate with them they have been willing to deliver to burnaby as well even though its outside the delivery area. i just give them a couple extra bucks. check the yellow pages for all the locations but i think they have a couple in surrey and possibly another one in vancouver besides the one on fraser and 41st
