first time here, both had pizza — it was the most salty pizza we have ever had. My husband never complains of salt levels and usually adds it to his food… but we both were so grossed out with the salt level and didn’t have more than a few pieces. Ended up drinking water the entire night. aside from the salt level, the flavours were very bleh. Also took forever for it to arrive. The burrata was great. For good pizza we will stick to Famoso and Bibo and Nook. Maybe the brunch is good? Not sure but not going back.

We’ve dined here twice, with less than satisfactory experiences. Service is fine. Food on this last visit was abysmal. «Minestrone» was a bizarre interpretation of the Italian classic. No pasta or beans. Just very salty and rich beef broth with diced vegetables. The«lobster risotto» was a joke — essentially rice smothered in a lobster bisque. The rice texture was way off, the sauce was overwhelmingly rich, and there were just three very small chunks of lobster. Management later mentioned that it was gluten free rice. The food quality would be expected of a Midwestern airport restaurant, not a relatively pricey Vancouver joint.

Love the flavours and the precise taste of the Pasta. We had the lamb pasta a pizza and they were not great. Prices were reasonable and I would say it’s worthwhile tasting Good parking handy in the street.

I sadly missed out on Dine Out last year. I think I was going to go to Chambar or something. We went later on in the year, so didn’t bother doing it this year. Plus, we’ve been to all the high end restaurants and wanted to try something a little less dear and different. We chose Campagnolo as we enjoy Italian food and that lobster risotto was just screaming my name! I went with my parents tonight. Appies were a beet salad(mom), minestrone soup(dad), and crispy ceci(me, also see picture if you don’t know what it is). Parents enjoyed their appies; I loved my ceci. Totally innovative, and flavourful. My parents even took part in helping me finish it. Now, for the mains: as previously mentioned, I ordered the lobster risotto, as did Mom, and Dad ordered the lamb. Mom and I enjoyed our risottos. Dad however didn’t know that the dish came with noodles; the name of the dish was in Italian, so that was slightly misleading. He said it was lacking some flavour and ergo, was underwhelming. For dessert, we all ordered the green apple cake; the other choice was peanut butter mousse. Personally, I think that would’ve been a bit overwhelming as peanut butter, while tasty and satisfying, is very strong. The cake was light, parents enjoyed. I found it a little bland but liked that it wasn’t too heavy. More and more I am deterring from desserts, as they tend to be too heavy. However, I do have a sweet tooth so something small and light after dinner is perfect. Servers were pleasant, the décor was very modern and minimalist; wooden ceilings, stone walls decorated with rectangular mirrors, which gave it a homey feel. It’s a small place, but not invasive. I would return here to see what else they offer for regular dinner fare. The boyfriend sounds interested, so maybe I’ll go with him and try something new.

This may have just been bad luck but the service was poor, the room was cold which required eating with my coat on and the food was fine but nothing special. I’ve had better brunches for under $ 10.

This used to be our go to place for date night. It never disappointed and was sure to be spot on every single time. We wondered if it would forever be our date night place. Ugh. Nothing lasts forever I suppose. The last time we went it seemed that the magic was missing. Service was just meh. The classic marinara spaghetti used to shine with pure tomato flavour. This time it was all butter. The pizza crust had changed somehow. I can’t put my finger on why. I don’t know if they’ve changed ownership or were just having a bad night. Sadly I think we will be moving on for now.

This review is for the upstairs. My bf and I were in the area and were hungry so we came here after a recommendation from a bartender across the street. He said they had the best burgers around so we thought we had to give it a try! Service was good, very attentive but when we got the burgers we ordered they were tiny. For the price of 10 with no side, you’d think it would be bigger and maybe at least have real cheese on it instead of processed Kraft cheese singles on it. The pickles on it were so thinly sliced I was amazed how little there was to this burger. I’m wondering if they sell it for that amount because maybe they ground it in house, I don’t know if they do or not but that would explain all the hard pieces of bone or grissle that I had to keep pulling out of my mouth. It was also extremely pink in the middle. I was very disappointed. The only thing good about this place were their cocktails and fries.

My husband and I were here last week. I had heard mixed reviews but we quite liked it. We had the salumi board with pâté, meats, cheese, and the extra foie gras. Then we shared the tagliatelle and ended with poached quince and milk cake. It was all delicious and we especially enjoyed the dessert. The service was really good and they were extremely attentive. We would go back.

This is about Upstairs Campagonolo: amaaaazing brunch! Everything was on point, eggs perfectly done with a delicious hollandaise sauce. The bacon pancakes were to die for! Super good vibe, I’m definitely coming back!

We came here on Friday night to kill 30 mins before our table was ready at another nearby restaurant. Great selection of Italian wines, we each had a glass of their reds. To tie over our stomachs before dinner, we ordered their charcuterie board($ 18) with a choice of 3 cured meats and it came with 5 slices of bread and one small dab of mustard. The cure meats were all delicious — we tried the pork shoulder, aged BC beef, and ham but we were very disappointed in the portions. For $ 18 we were expecting more than a few thin slices of each meat and at least more than half a tablespoon dab of mustard. I’m not sure if it’s because of the acoustics of the room, but we found it quite loud and echoe-y in the space. It was difficult to hold a conversation without feeling like we were being drowned out by the rest of the restaurant’s buzzing. Service is very friendly but I don’t think it was enough to win me back to return.

Really enjoyed our brunch at Campagnolo. I wasn’t expecting much because I didn’t hear very much about the place and just happened to randomly decide to give it a try, but my husband and I were very happy with our meals. I’m really glad we found this place! We ordered the chicken and biscuits and the classic breakfast. The chicken and biscuits were different from what we expected but totally delicious! I have to be honest, if you don’t like a heavy dish this may not be the thing for you but oh my… it was so good. The chicken was just perfect– delicious, crispy skin with nicely flavored juicy meat. The biscuit was buttery and almost creamy with the gravy(?) and was topped off with perfectly cooked sunny side eggs on top. I don’t know, people say a perfect egg shouldn’t be brown/burnt anywhere but for me I love when the edges are crispy and brown… that’s perfection in my books. Both of the dishes came with some really good breakfast potatoes and a seasonal salad(I think it was a mizuna salad). I had my classic breakfast with over easy eggs, which came with the two items mentioned above, in addition to bacon and toast. The bread was warm and tasty(I’m not sure what kind of bread it was sorry I don’t know much about bread but it was good!) the bacon was thick and salty but once again delicious :) We enjoyed our coffee there as well and the service was very good– super friendly and attentive. I loved how quiet and cozy it was inside… felt like we found a hidden gem for those days I want to relax and just enjoy a hearty meal. The restaurant isn’t in the fanciest, nicest part of town but it’s definitely worth a visit. Ty Campagnolo! We will surely be back for more!

It’s a chill upstairs space overlooking Main Street and the Cobalt on the other side. Atmosphere is reminiscent of a dive bar, a neighborhood joint you’d often hang out at, but with good food and superior cocktails, and not claustrophobic thanks to the big windows and second-floor position that let some natural light. Campagnolo had experimented with a breakfast/brunch café up here, but I think the straight-up bar model works better. With a small but well-executed menu, this spot can be a casual destination in its own, or to tide you over while you wait for a spot downstairs or down the street.

First time here with a group of people and it was fabulous! I wasn’t expecting much because 1) it is in a very sketchy area with homeless people and druggies 2) I haven’t been to an Italian restaurant that has wowed me before since we can make pasta at home But every dish was amazing! The beef tartar, tuna tataki, pastas were el dente, pizza was tasty and adventurous. It was on the pricey side but we did order lots of wine and other alcoholic drinks. The ambience was trendy/casual/funky… you don’t feel overdressed if you’re wearing a dress but you won’t feel underdressed if you’re wearing jeans. The waitresses were friendly and efficient. Will come back!

The last few time I had written reviews for Campagnolo they were both 5 stars. This time it’s the same. I like their casual, simple but trendy atmosphere. Service — friendly, efficient, staff knew the menu well and knew how to recommend pairings with Beer. Food — Simple effective ingredients combined for a flavorful effect. Meat and cheese pairings were good. Bread that came with it was made in the restaurant. Good nice crust. Pasta’s everyone loved what they received. Beer — good choices that go well with the food. Approved by Mom.

Came for lunch on a rainy day. Very nice and cozy restaurant to walk into. Service is really something good and very reliable across all my dine in visits. Food is yummy, has enough variety to cater to many needs, and servers know their stuff. Manager takes care to make sure guests are taken care of. Had the lobster risotto last time which was pretty good, but chef’s featured pizza remains my favourite order here :)

My father taught me about the hunt for the perfect little Italian restaurant. At this moment, I’ve started with the salssiccia pizza here at Campagnolo, and everything in me said… This… Is… perfect. What an excellent balance of the dough mix(thin, crispy and chewy, slightly toasted) and oven, the marinara consistency and balance of savory-to-sweet(I prefer savory), and the sausage, which is also savory goodness. There is a bitter taste that comes with the fresh arugula sprinkled liberally on top, and it doesn’t blend enough for my tastes, so I’ll admit that I did pull some of it off. I’ll be back. Maybe I’ll try something different… Maybe.

This place is expensive for me. But the food is rather good. And I hear the cocktails are even better. The upstairs lounge is a place I frequent when I have company that calls for this sort of thing. The downstairs? I’ve never been. *Pro-tip– Camp upstairs has the regular resto menu too– you don’t have to order off their bar menu. Pro-tip 2– they have local craft beer from just up the street you can purchase and a lot of other off the menu items– just ask if you don’t see anything you like and they will oblige or suggest something similar. Pro-tip 3– the dirty burger has a secret menu. but it’s really expensive.

Campagnolo Upstairs. Should this be a separate business listing? It’s the green door to the right of the Campagnolo entrance. Open for brunch & dinner. I went for dinner, it’s bar service & surprisingly intimate & quiet — no problems getting a seat! You’re also able to order from the full Campagnolo menu downstairs. Their dinner menu changes, so unfortunately I didn’t get to try the truffled scotch egg or fried chicken. But the Dirty Burger — yum! Ooey cheezy juicy medium rare patty goodness. Double Patty it up for another $ 5. They deep fry the bun which makes it really crispy on the outside but still soft inside. You will have a pool of meat juice on your plate at the end. If that doesn’t appeal to you, move on . The spiced dry ribs come in long strips of bone, not the little dry pieces I’m used to. There’s not a huge amount of meat on the bones, but it’s still pretty good. Onion rings were really fluffy — almost donut fluffy batter. Poutine is a miss, pass on that one — soggy fries & salty gravy. Will be back to try their brunch.

I’m a fan of Campagnolo’s Italian group of restaurants including the flagship Main Street eatery, Roma, and the Upstairs bar. Starting this Saturday, you can enjoy brunch service at Camp’s appropriately named, hip upstairs bar. I’m a sucker for a good eggs benny and the smoked wild BC salmon eggs Benedict(with buttermilk biscuits, Béarnaise sauce, and hash browns) piqued my interest. It was deliciously fine and solid in its good balance of a well-cooked pouched egg, creamy sauciness, and tastiness of the fish. I’m always curious about any restaurant’s version of fried chicken(served with biscuits, a fried egg, and hash browns). From the messy aftermath, the chicken was crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. It was a delicious, tasty treat served on a decent biscuit with syrup. I was pleasantly surprised by Upstairs’ initial brunch dishes and offerings with a healthy variety and good start complementing Campagnolo’s downstairs Italian flair. Also, the fresh pastries(particularly the sticky bun) are not a bad way to start your meal.

Seguramente la mejor pizza fuera de Italia. Consiguen una masa crujiente por fuera y ligera por dentro ¡de ovación cerrada! Buen surtido de vinos italianos en botella y a copas.
