Our Groom Philosophy — We will do everything we can to make your doggie’s experience as stress-​free & enjoyable as possible. Like everyone at bow wow haus, our groomers LOVE dogs! It is our promise to handle every dog with care, love, and infinite patience. We will never use cage dryers, handle our canine clients roughly, or rush through any session. We only use natural, earth-​friendly shampoos and grooming products. At drop-​off, please allow 5 – 10 minutes to chat with us about your doggie’s personality, scent/​skin preferences and style!

Feb 13th, 2010 marked not only the opening day of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, but is also marked the arrival of Pixie – a 3.5 lb Papillon and the reason Bow Wow Haus Broadway exists today.

Our journey from new puppy parents to small business owners started as a result of wanting to provide the best for our new four legged family member; it soon became an obsession to obtain the most information we could gather to provide Pixie with the highest quality of life we could provide for her. When the opportunity arrived to open up a dog related business that would allow us to spend as much time with her as possible and spend our days with other dog lovers, we jumped at the chance and haven’t looked back! The three of us look forward to welcoming you to Bow Wow Haus Broadway soon!

We’ve been in this store a few times now, and have always found the staff to be super helpful and friendly. They have some gorgeous clothes, collars, and leashes — my short-​haired dogs have no need to be cold this winter, and can look fabulous while staying warm!
They also have a great selection of ‘clean’ treats (my dogs LOVE the salmon skins!), but what surprised me was the selection of frozen foods and raw bones. Needless to say, my dogs have learned that this place is full of yummy things, and they always want to go in when we’re walking by. :)

I brought my miniature american eskimo, Jacky, to get groomed here. The staff were nice and informative, and they treated my dog gently and with care.
However, I cannot give a good review because I realized after I brought my dog home that he kept shedding! Hair would pull out in chunks when I ran my fingers through his fur. This has NEVER happened when I took my dog to grooming places like Pet Shop Boys, Groom Room, or Unleashed to name a few. I assume the groomer didn’t brush him out enough. (My dog has a very thick coat). However, I had asked for a teddy bear cut (short all over) so there really shouldn’t have been the amount of leftover fur there was. I had to brush him out numerous times myself.
Overall, not a bad establishment, but nothing special. I did end up buying a cute dog toy here, but I don’t know if I’ll ever come back.

The staff in this store are very friendly and helpful. I was looking for a Puppia harness for our miniature schnauzer, but they were out of his size. He called another store and had one put on hold for us. We are always pleased with the service here!

Awesome friendly staff, Nice high end doggie stuff but quite pricey. We’ve bought a number of things here for our pooch and we’ve been happy with them all. Nice that the staff knows more about dogs than the larger big box type pet shops.

I LOVE this store. It’s a boutique and is selective in what they stock so I know that what I get has been chosen for a reason! The owners are awesome and their customer service is even better! They are knowledgeable about the products and are not pushy. There are a few dog stores in this area but none compare to this location!

Tobias and Brian are amazing we bring our Cocker Spaniel Toby there to get groomed they do a amazing job and are so friendly and always helpful to recommend products to us we highly recommend stopping into see them

The owners are really nice and pleasant. I really like the selection of the store, such as cute and awesome collars and leashes that I have never seen anywhere else. They have really cute sweaters and tanks as well, so your dog will be very «stylish» when cruising around Vancouver. They also have a really good raw food program, its like you donate $ 10 to a dog rescue charity, and then you get 5% off food for the rest of the year, which is a steal.

My dog can’t fit into any of these clothes… he’s a real size dog (or plus size as the dog world would call him). I basically went to see what they had to offer in terms of dog treats which sadly weren’t a lot.
The owner is really nice and had his dog in the store who was über cute.

This is a high end dog boutique. As the other reviewers noted, the prices are a bit high and there are 2 large cheaper stores only a few blocks away. Although I suspect the high prices are mostly because they stock the high end products.
HOWEVER, the service is worth the premium. I can’t say enough good things about their staff. They only stock high quality products and the staff are knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. They once told me they wouldn’t feel right selling me something b/​c my puppy would out-​grow it too quickly and that I should wait to buy it.
My only complaint is that the non-​clothing stock is somewhat limited. If you’re looking for specific everyday things, there’s a good chance they won’t have everything on your list so it’s not 1 stop shopping.

Nice selection of sweaters, t-​shirts, and specialty treats… But the prices are really pretty high. It feels like a Yaletown-​type shop that got misplaced on the wrong side of the water. I paid $ 14 for a ‘wubba’ (dog toy) here that I later saw at Tisol for $ 9. Ughhh.
In short– It’s a nice store, but expensive.
Fortunately, the happy helpful staff and cute resident dog almost make up for it… and I do feel strongly about supporting small business when I can. All in all, it’s a decent place to go when you want to pick up a special treat for your furry-​friend. but I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you have a new puppy and need a BUNCH of new supplies.

I was excited to spot this pet store open in what I think was the former location of the clothing store called Ingénue. There really is not much for pets in this part of town since the Three Dog Bakery moved up to Point Grey.
As much as I would love to dress my terriers in snappy little coats, they much prefer being au naturel and having the full ability to roll uninhibitedly in whatever they can find on their walks. The clothing at this Bow Wow Haus is clearly selected for the very small «precious» dogs that would not mind wearing equally «precious» garments. Dogs more than about 12 pounds and who don’t want to dress like the dog equivalent of «Toddlers and Tiaras» will have very little to select from.
They appeared to have a nice selection of fancy dog collars, and a reasonable selection of bowls, grooming products, toys and treats. They only carry a few lines of dried food but have a few fridges/​freezers for the raw food.
I did notice that they carry an essential item for this part of town, Skunk Odor Remover and at a lower price than at some other places. The owners were really nice and friendly and I will probably return at some point for non-​clothing items.
