Coming from Toronto where we don’t have this chain, I appreciated this place for what it is: A jewelry store featuring stuff from various artists. There are various showcases and in each one will list the artist’s name and their location. I saw many different places featured from local artists to a few from the States(LA, LV, HI) to other locales in the world like France, Italy, Costa Rica, and even Turkey. One of the sales girls told me that it’s a family business and they have buyers go all over the world to purchase for the store. I *think* there were even gold jewelry as I saw a bracelet that was $ 600, so it’s not all cheapie costume stuff! I didn’t see anything I liked this time, but I loved the concept!

In general I appreciate the Blue Ruby chain as you can get something modern and somewhat elegant for under $ 120. It fits a reasonable price range. I don’t feel that the jewelry themselves is meant to last, however, good for the season fad. Also if you want to buy something really nice for someone but don’t want to spend a shitload of $$$ this is a reasonable place. You wouldn’t want to wear this jewelry in the shower. This location is smaller than the others, therefore, the selection is slim but good. What kinda erked me is that the two ladies at the til, who were slightly younger than me were having high school-ish gossip talk like 10th graders with unprofessional language. This isn’t a salon, it’s a retail store.

I need a new nose ring and after reading a review of another Blue Ruby location I decided to come here. This location is small and I had a hard time walking through but that could also have been because other people seem to have walking one foot in front of the other issues. Anyway, I walked to the centre«station» and was greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. Unfortunately they did not have anything in the way of jewelry for the nose but was told of another place I could check. All in all I received good service but they lost for lack of product and space to manœuvre around in.
