Blanket Gallery was founded in 2005. The gallery spans over 2000 square meters and is the platform for some of the most innovate and program-driven artists. At present, they represent ten artists. Compared to other Vancouver galleries, that number is small. But, again, compared to other galleries, what Blanket lacks in quantity, they make up for in quality. Their ten emerging artists are widely reputed throughout Canada and are growing in international acclaim, some having shown in the United States, Japan, Germany, England, France and the Netherlands. Jeremy Hof, one of the artists represented by Blanket, is the 2008 winner of RBC Canadian Painting Competition, with another being shortlisted. Directors Sarah Maculay and Natalie Tkchev are growing in renown for their sharp eyes and their focused dedication to contemporary art.
