Great small business that specializes in local products.
They provided great knowledge (and patience) as I picked my bike. I know more now then when I got there. I also great deal on a Norco bike.

I’ve been bringing my bikes here for repair and maintenance for years and always find the mechanics to be kind and committed to doing a good job. After my last repair I brought my bike in for some minor adjustments which got handled immediately. The counter staff are also helpful and approachable.

I am so grateful to have these knowledge, kind and very supportive bike experts so closeby. After months of deliberation and many visits, I bought my dream bike from this terrific today.
I have never been so excited to have a bike that is perfect for my needs. For those who know me, I research my options thoroughly and I have extremely high standards for customer service. They exceeded all of them. How often can you say that about a major purchase? I am confident in my purchase and even more excited to return for my regular check-​ups (included for the first year).

Why do LBS (Local Bike Shops) so often have such bad attitudes? I’m not an idiot, and it would be nice if the woman behind the counter didn’t jump to the conclusion that I am. I’d prefer to support local business but not when they obviously don’t care enough to deserve it. This shop had bad reviews on GMaps so they just removed the listing — easier than giving better service?

They are great and helpful.

I’ve been taking my bike here for routine checkups over the last couple of years, mostly because it’s the closest bike shop to me. After taking my bike in for a $ 60 tune up a month ago, I was in again yesterday due to a minor cable tension issue. After the mechanic adjusted the cable, he told me that I should bring my bike in for a tune up soon, because the brake pads were almost entirely worn out. His colleague told me that the pads probably had a week of life left in them.
It’s great that he pointed this out to me, but why wasn’t this mentioned at my tune up one month ago? I haven’t ridden much over the last few weeks, so surely the pads couldn’t have looked much better when they last looked it over.
The whole reason that I bring my bike in to a shop instead of doing general tune-​ups myself is that I enjoy the peace of mind that professional maintenance brings. Clearly, this isn’t the place to find that peace of mind.

In anticipation of starting a new job, thought I’d treat myself to a tune-​up and bike check instead of doing my own maintenance and ensure an easy commute for a couple of weeks.
Took my bike out early today only to find I had a flat so I hopped in the car to get to work. Since I had the rim replaced at bikes on the drive the week before, I called to see if they’d change the tube for me — a reasonable ask just after dropping nearly $ 200 at the place. I was informed I could bring it in and they’d check it out, but if it was something other than the tube change that caused the flat it wouldn’t be covered.
Not wanting to wait until the weekend to go n for a service I might end up paying for anyway, I decided to change the tube myself and in the process realized the tire was completely worn out. There are literally holes it. While I might have noticed this earlier, a bike mechanic replacing a rim would surely take not and reasses the usefulness of putting a tire with holes in it on a brand new rim.
Lesson learned — will be doing my own maintenance from now on. At least I don’t overcharge!

I’ve continued to take my bikes here through a few different owners and despite staff turn-​over I’ve had continuously good experiences overall.
They stock a wide variety of bikes and accessories but mostly commuter oriented (not sure who’s buying all those carbon race bikes) and with some good stuff for kids.
Ordering parts often takes a while but that’s a supplier-​side issue. The owner also doesn’t seem too personally interested in bikes but his staff are passionate and friendly and helpful in my experience and I’ll continue to bring my business here.

Sigh. This place. All my patience is used up.
The only good thing is the deals on bikes. Buy a bike on sale, and don’t come back. They offer free services for a year, but just take your bike somewhere else and pay to get it serviced properly.
I find that after a service I have to go back because they didn’t do something I asked for or didn’t bother to fully check over the bike and I have a dangerous situation on my hands.
Yes, they’ve rectified every problem, but I shouldn’t have to constantly be going over my bike after a service to make sure they’ve done their job.

Went in for a tire and tube replacement on my road bike.
They were super helpful and accommodating of all my needs. Couldn’t possibly have asked for a better experience.

I went here a while ago and was not pleased.
I took in my used bike that needed some parts and work.
I might see this place badly because my viewpoint is not so typical in Vancouver when it comes to bikes. I think they are simple mechanical machines, that are easy to fix, and when they are used and in disrepair they are not objects of worship and they are not worth hundreds of dollars for normal old bikes.
They put my bike on a stand and checked it out. The girl that did it did not seem to want to be there, having much to do with my bike. She didn’t quote me many options in terms of price points on parts which do exist. There are levels of quality available you can choose from which I availed myself of later. She tallied up the prices of rather expensive parts, and then added labor. There were a fair number of parts and a variety of small tasks associated. I expect when you’re doing a bunch of little things on a bike, you shouldn’t have to refer to a price list for each thing as if it’s a standalone task and adding it up one on top of another to the maximum price. For example, the wheel was a bit bent, and the cost of straightening it would have cost an hour at a decent paying job. I declined, and did it myself in 5 minutes. After everything was totaled, she remembered cable housings and tallied them at full price by the foot. There has to be some simmering down of prices when so much stuff is being done. I mean they probably have this cable on a jumbo spool in the back…
None of this would be too much of an affront except that I got the feeling that I was imposing on her and the shop by being there.
Sure enough, near the end she said in a derisive tone that my bike wasn’t good or worth fixing up. No, not the way you’d do it, and yes I did get it because it’s a rare size that fits me and it was free, so I could have put some money into it and it would have been reasonable.
I left in a bad mood, and called back later to cancel everything.
I got parts on Broadway at Bike Doctor for a better price, and more importantly better attitude.
Won’t be going back here for so much as a spoke nipple.

Brought 3 bikes in for tune ups. They did an excellent job with a fast turn around time. Friendly staff and very helpful.

These guys have done two bike tune ups for me on two different bikes, a touring bike and a race bike. Both have left them feeling better than brand new.
Excellent service very knowledgeable.
Will match prices from around town on like products.

I purchased a bike here a few years ago, and have had nothing but excellent service ever since.
Forget the shop you knew before, these guys are so damn nice and helpful, not a «I’m better than you snotty bike know it all» vibe in sight.
Great selection of bikes and accessories, they recently redid the display wall and it looks rad. Make you wanna buy all the things rad.
I bring my bike in at least twice a year for regular tune-​ups and have no desire to take it anywhere else. I can usually have my bike back within 2 days, depending on the season and it’s always just like new. They even do a little clean with the tune up, which I find amazing. The price is also pretty right.
Stop doing it yourself sucker! Take it here!

They had a 50% shoe sale and my good friend rides, therefore, I guess you can say we went shoe shopping together. Very awesome customer service, the guy at the til was friendly, chatty, social and very helpful and easy going. He came up to my friend and I and offered to assist us which was awesome ’cause normally retail people just ignore you completely in general. Prices are decent all around for everything else.
