Ok BC Sushi you win, I’ll partake in your all you can eat goodiness! Oh 3 different options for all you can eat? i’ll take the best one! which includes: Geoduck(nom), uni(nom nom), oysters(nom nom nom). While the food’s appearance was… not the best for the uni, it tasted great and I didn’t get sick. And I ate a lot of uni. Lots and lots of it. The variety on the written menu actually differs from what is listed on the actual menu(same # of items, just 1 or 2 are different). An example would be the salads… they aren’t listed on the written menu, but you can still get it if you have all you can eat. The only down side is that they didn’t have ice cream included in the all you can eat mean. I’ve never heard of that before! outrageous! but yea i’d go back. for that sweet sweet geoduck.

A silent moment before review. ‘Thank you lord for giving me the courage to eat here, while avoiding potential food poisoning or plumbing problem. Now let the review begin.’ Yes Im still here. Went for the late night ayce menu, the food was horrendous. Friends were discussing about possible torture techniques with food for one another. That’s how bad it gotten. The cooked dishes were lukewarm, visually unpleasant but wait it taste even worst. The sushi rolls and rice were disgusting falling apart constantly. The taste were wayyyyyyyyyy off! The service were decent enough for a star but the owner needs to fire the cook, retrain the sushi chef plz. I would not hire them to mop the floor. Be warned but hey don’t take my word and try it for yourself. Good luck. Yes I’m always right.

Not bad for all you can eat. Came here with a large group for late night and paid around $ 17 after taxes and tip. The menu isn’t too small and none of the food stood out as exceptionally bad. I think I prefer kingsway sushi because they’re closer and have the 10% off card.

Such a waste of time!!! Time is way more precious than money. I suggest you spend the extra few dollars and go elsewhere. The Sushi and everything else is not worth it at all! Service was crap

My son and I had BC Sushi take-out Monday afternoon. As I sit here writing I am recovering from a peak 6 hours of hell with the signs and symptoms of food poisoning. Later in the evening, my wife came home and informed me that our Son was in the hospital after his grandmother witnessed him puking up blood. My wife was unaffected. The only meal my Son and I shared in the last several days, for which my wife didn’t, was our BC Sushi take-out. We had half and half of wild salmon sashimi, avocado roll, dynamite roll, and prawn tempura. I was curious to find out if anyone else had food poisoning issues, where they suspect BC Sushi food as the culprit recently, so I checked the health inspection reports for the establishment, and what I found were repeated, over and over again, food safety violations! See: We also have another Unilocaler complaining of BC Sushi serving undercooked chicken to them: I am seeking out anyone else who may have been effected, to gather firmer evidence before going to their management with my concerns. I am not seeking some law suit, or to defame BC Sushi illegitimately. I can not prove it was their food that made my Son and I sick, but I am intending to fully investigate their establishment given the repeated violations and re-inspections where not much changed through time in terms of their sanitation issues highlighted above. If anyone has any knowledge on this matter, please contact me. UPDATE: So it turns out that my wife had BC Sushi just prior to her being made aware that our Son and I became ill. She had wild salmon sashimi and dynamite roll, two items we also had. We hoped she would be OK. Yet the next day she developed very similar symptoms, and so we had her stool sample analysed. No results came back, yet the doctor felt that a test for staph wouldn’t show results so we never had that done, just the other stuff. She said that the time delay of when she showed symptoms and when we came in was beyond the cut off for a staph test. I did have the health inspector send someone in to investigate. They felt my case warranted a visit. Additional to all of this, our Son was at his grandparents when he became ill at the same time as myself post eating BC sushi. My wife as well became ill almost exactly at the same point post eating BC sushi as us. Ie) 24 hours later the next day, a couple days after us in time! No one else became ill who did not eat BC Sushi became ill. My Son’s grandparents and two cousins who he was staying with were perfectly OK. Nobody my wife and I worked with and were in contact with while ill became ill. As a precaution, we will not be eating Sushi, a meal we have enjoyed for years, during heat waves at «all you can eat» places, especially if the establishment has no air conditioning. This is the first time we have experienced something like this and will take the cautionary approach and avoid BC sushi in the future.

By far my favourite restaurant in Vancouver. We always opt for the All You Can Eat menu(we always go at dinner time). Lots of variety, probably the biggest menu for the best price in the city. Their beef tataki is AMAZING. Prawn tempura is delicious, and their sunomono is very flavourful. We go about once a week now, so often that they remember what extra things we like and what drinks we order. Great food, great service(let’s be honest, most AYCE places have sucky service). Always happy!

I ordered take out from here the other night, but when I went to pick up my order, i noticed that they got one of my ordered wrong. The server was very apologetic and had the kitchen prepare my order right away. While I waited for my order to finish, she offered me 4 complimentary mango puddings. I got 2 salmon sashimi don, and a beef yakisoba. both very good and fresh. I wold definitely order from here again.

Food: AYCE, they have a fairly big selection. It’s not your fancy high-end sushi place no-no Service: Fairly quick and friendly Value: The prices are decent if you are a big group, but don’t expect great quality for this price. Ambiance: The décor looks like it could use some remodeling, then again if you are coming for AYCE who really cares about the décor? ^_^

BARF! the service was bad, I almost felt guilty asking for a table for 2. Understandably it’s an all you can eat sushi joint, but it’s filthy. Absolutely disgusting! We found some hair in our water, the food was falling apart(tempura was soaked with dropping oil) and all of the rolls were loose. It’s set up as a sit down sushi place with booths and tables, but it’s so dirty that that perk doesn’t even seem appealing. The washrooms wreaked like chemicals and urine, the paper towel dispenser didn’t even work and the floor was covered with water. Sorry BC Sushi, but I didn’t have a good experience at all and I definitely don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Absolutely the worst All-You-Can-Eat sushi place in Vancouver. I’ve been to a lot of AYCE sushi places in the Lower Mainland and I know the ones to avoide, but B.C. Sushi in particular was very bad due it it’s terrible service by their wait-staff. The food is barely passable by AYCE standards and the only good thing about this restaurant is that if you have a large group of friends, it does have seating to fit everyone(albeit the tables and chairs need a update). Another good thing about this place is that it’s located about 20 steps from some other sushi places that are much better, although not AYCE. Definitely should go there instead.

I really enjoy BC Sushi. I frequent this sushi restaurant often for all you can eat & take out. Love the take out option of 25% off! I love their all you can eat menu! It is a little bit over priced & the green tea isn’t the best. I think it tastes like bath water… But over all, I think their sushi is good quality & their rolls are a decent size & they seem to always be fresh! If you order all you can eat & you can’t finish what you’ve ordered, they will charge you for what you don’t eat. But I personally think that is understandable. If you eat in, music is a hit or miss. Sometimes they play the radio but other times they play(what seems like) a CD on repeat. Awful, annoying CD. The service is decent. The owner is very polite, hard working & willing to make your visit great! Some of the other servers aren’t very approachable & there is a language barrier if you speak only English(like myself). Whenever I order, food comes out fast & I always get what I order. It can be busier, especially around dinner time(5−6pm). But table turn around time is usually pretty quick. Overall, I really like this place. The main reason I give this a 4⁄5 stars is because of the weak green tea, sometimes unpleasant music, & the sushi being over priced.

For a place specializing in sushi, it falls short of my expectations even though it’s only an AYCE. The fish that are available locally were still bland and past their«sushi freshness» The service was prompt and accurate with each order.

They have all you can eat but it’s $ 1695 to be able to have sashimi. It’s not really cheap sushi and it’s not really great quality either. Maybe the regular menu is better. I had their spicy sauce on the side with my sashimi. I am a huge spivey tuna sashimi fan. Their spicy sauce is not very good. We also rejected under cooked lemon chicken. Not a big deal cause we ordered a new one, however that is potential food poisoning. I would really rate this place a one star but maybe it was just our bad luck.

I use to like this place, now I know better. Came in here for lunch just as they were opening with my husband on a Thursday, so not busy at all. We decided to order from the A menu and pay extra for the sashimi, The service was so slow it took a good 45 minutes for them to serve our first round of ayce, because the service was so slow we didn’t have time to order that sashimi, because who knows how long it would have taken them to bring it out. On top of the painfully slow service there was a kid that was constantly screaming, the kind of scream that breaks windows. Each time the kid screamed the family would laugh or say née-how to the child. After 30 minutes of no one telling the little cretan to be quiet I got up and I had to approach the parents. They had no clue what I was saying and looked at me as if I were from a different planet. As for the food here, it’s OK, nothing special and nothing terrible. I didn’t find this place that cheap it’s $ 16/person for lunch getting only the A menu.

If you’re a university student looking for a quick bite with a fairly large group of people, this is the place to go. It’s 15 minutes from UBC and you take the 99 B-line to Maple st to get there. There are a lot of options, but just be reminded that this AYCE(all you can eat) is not the best. For the amount you pay, ~$ 15, this is right in that budget range for those of you who are frugal… even with food. But hey, it’s AYCE, so who’s complaining. My recommendations: They serve more sashimi with the rice than if you were to just buy the sashimi plates alone, so take that into consideration if you enjoy a lot of raw fish. You need to pay extra, ~$ 2, if you would like to just buy the sashimi plates. A la carte options are always a must. You don’t get full too quickly and the grilled meats are pretty tasty.

When you walk past a restaurant sign that reads ‘All You Can Eat Sushi’, you’ve gotta know that it’s either going to be: a)Meh. Decent sushi. or b) Absolute Shite. BC sushi features genuinely mediocre rolls, paper thin sliced nigiri, and servers who look reeeeeeally miserable. The highlight here was the gyoza(they were surprisingly tasty) but everything else was pretty questionable. For some reason, everything just seemed to have an extra fishy taste. My lunch date and I left the restaurant pretty grossed out, but Hey! At least our bellies were almost full and we only spent about $ 11 each. That’s a cup half full moment for ya there. Dear BC Sushi: Thanks but no thanks.

AYCE is not that popular amongst foodies in Vancouver but trying it because it was all you had in the east coast is something you can’t blame us for;) So the only thing that is worth is their late night special after 930PM. It’s 13 $ or for more selection then 18 $. Their better A+B+C menu is $ 32 but not worth it. The fun thing about AYCE is that you order something you wouldn’t usually try. The smelt, BBQ short ribs, squash tempura, chicken wings, gyoza(I like the red vinegar they doused it in but you may not), masago cone and … Nope, that’s it. The list is of the selection that is slightly below decent. The sashimi is low grade but the salmon is salvageable. However for that price, I think this is a pretty good deal. If you were expecting Vancouver good quality sashimi, then pay more for it elsewhere and don’t do AYCE… But sometimes you will crave it haha. The service is ok, they are super duper fast w the service bringing food and taking away plates. I’d keep your coat near u because one of the guys pouring tea does it at 100 km/hr so it looks like you’re pretty lucky if you don’t get burnt by him. Wasteful they are: Also I saw a table leave w a whole plate of rolls and they were not charged extra. I also saw a plate of 5 salmon nigiri in the bucket of dirty dishes. Service where art thou: I saw a tall man get up and hit his head on the lamp but the manager sad the whole thing and all he did was look on amusingly without going over to ask him if he was okay. However I have to say that AYCE is fun w friends and a cheap place if you’re hungry and have only $ 20 on you and you haven’t eaten all day;)

This may not be useful as I think every sushi place is amazing — but the food is great! I also want to add that this establishment actually has great customer service(note: for a typical Vancouver sushi joint). Oh and it’s about $ 14 for AYCE after 930 pm :) Selection from A menu is pretty decent. no need to upgrade to the B menu. Ambiance is very crappy but you’re eating sushi so who cares? Taking into consideration all the other sushi establishment I’ve visited in Van, I give 4⁄5.

Came here for some allyoucaneat action. Vancouver seriously has it good. Parking is available on the side streets N of Broadway. Yes it’s a bit of a walk, but you can save yourself some dough. The interior of the restaurant is pretty beaten up, with missing patches of paint, and dented furniture. But chances are you won’t mind. The curious thing about this place is that instead of an itemized order sheet, you’re given a blank strip of paper. So you have to write down the item code as well the quantity. Guess the forms that everyone else uses cost too much to print. The other curious thing here is that there are no dessert item menus, other the«milk» item, which is actually a sweet spring roll(right down to the crispy skin). They do have a bar here, but it’s not quite«fully stocked» They have your gins, whiskeys, and other things such as Malibu, but let’s just say there are some rather large spaces between the bottles. As for the rest of the food, it is pretty good. The salmon are farmed, but the variety is awesome. You can get items such as beef tataki, eel, and toro, to name a few. The sashimi here is quite good. Pricing-wise, it’s one of the more reasonable places for dinner. If you don’t mind the interior, this place definitely hits the spot.
