I went in for a detailed prenatal scan at 21 weeks pregnant on April 17th. Was called the following week to come back for a follow up appointment on April 30th as they wanted to confirm a measurement of baby but wasn’t very clear. Received a call on May 1st stating they need me to come in again to check the baby’s spine! In the meantime I’ve had an ultrasound at BC Women’s for something else and during the exam the technician clearly showed us vertebrae by vertebrae everything was fine on April 27th! Grr… I do not recommend CML Healthcare for prenatal ultrasounds as they clearly don’t appear to know what they’re doing and have been causing me undue stress!!! It almost seems like they want me to come in multiple times so they can bill MSP for another visit by me!

My only concern is that they have a long waiting list. I had to book 2 weeks in advance. Otherwise, people did their job.

This place is the worst. I recently had a breast ultrasound done there(it is called CML Healthcare) I don’t know who is responsible for this disaster but I will ensure I never go back there. I arrived 2 minutes early for my appointment, the first of the day. The girl at reception made me wait until 8AM to let me in. The techs had not even arrived yet, they started arriving after 8. Wow, warning 1. The tech that I ended seeing arrived late and put her white coat on, then started talking to the reception in Chinese. Now I don’t speak any of those languages but I could still tell that it was gossiping and not work catch-up. All of this happened at the reception area while I was waiting. Warning 2. Then the tech came to get me. Could not say my name. It is not very difficult though… She proceeded to take a gown and threw it on the bench in the changing room and said to meet her in the room, but did not say which one. So I got changed and looked for her and she opened the door, and said, «in here» in a very unfriendly manner. At that point, I already wanted to leave but stuck it. She did the ultrasound, wiped my breast painfully, and then threw some paper at me saying«here do it yourself, I don’t want to hurt you». Well I asked her to wipe my breast anyway. When I asked if I could get changed in the room, she said rudely again, no, not here, I have my next patient. Go back to the change room. So there: Extremely unfriendly and rude«service», I was the first appointment of the day and they still took me 15 – 20 minutes late, no idea of who was the boss in there, they don’t seem to care at all. Embarrassing.

Was ordered to have a pelvic and TRANSVAGInaL ultra sound. Transvaginal means they insert a probe into your vagina to have a closer look at your ovaries and uterus. I asked the tech why she did not do the transvaginal(used the probe). She told me it was a new machine and they could see everything with it. Being in health care, I thought perhaps new technology ¾ D ultrasound machine with bionic capabilities. No not the case! My ovaries were not seen on this ultrasound and I need to have yet another ultrasound. To top it off, she made me slide my pants down and she had the door open with a closet door open and obstructing the hallway view!(How about installing a curtain??) I am going to be contacting them to let them know. UPDATE; so I contacted them and they fit me in for the test I was supposed to have. The manager was very professional and handled all of my concerns. Turns out after having the transvaginal ultrasound that I was supposed to have in the first place, I have issues with my ovaries and uterus. The pelvic ultrasound didn’t see these problems. I am shocked because this is how people slip through the cracks in the medical system.
