If you don’t want to open up on Saturday at 10am, don’t advertise that you are. Since its Labor Day weekend, a note in the window might have been an option… Second place in one morning to do this… Not great advertising for nail care in Vancouver.

Never in all my years of getting hair and nails done have I experienced any thing like this family run operation. First I went in as they advertised hair hi lights for $ 35. I knew that having long hair would add to the price, and it did. It went to $ 45. When they had to apply MORE bleach they charged me another $ 10 to make it $ 55. Before me they were colouring a Persian woman’s hair. I should have leapt up and run when I saw them send her out the door with a huge swath of hair that they missed(this is a tag team operation). I really should have left when they wanted to pull my LONG hair thru a cap. I wanted blonde hilights, not almost my whole head of hair bleached and bleach is what they did. They used no hair colour and as a result I had to spend four more weeks getting my hair into shape it was burned so badly. I had obviously lost my mind when I decided to give them a chance to do my acrylic nails. …The daughter ground off the old polish, never a good idea, then when she started shortening them she did a pinkie to establish length. She did the nail, I said just a shade more and the next thing I knew she had taken a broad swath off and had shortened the nail almost to my fingertip. AS I don’t have any natural nail that starts white until the end of my fingertip it makes my hands look chunky. She screamed pell mell through the rest so fast I had to ask her to slow down. Then she started on the acrylic. She did one hand at a table while Mama pulled up a stool while waiting for HER hair colour to work and did my other hand on her lap. VERY professional. The polish was slapped on and I was hustled out the door, but not before their INTERAC machine went on the blink and they asked me to go and get cash. Daughter told me there was a cash machine across from the holiday Inn across the street and asked me to leave something of value to ensure I would return. I crossed the street, saw no machinf in sight and was heading to MYBANK a few blocks away when Daddy comes racing up to me and accuses me of not paying. I told him I was on my way to my bank and he said, no, there is ATM machine in Holiday Inn. So, we turned back and I went and pulled out the cash. All the way back he hurried ahead of me saying he don’t want no passport, he want cash. When I gave it to him there was nary a thank you for my inconvenience. PLUS, I knew I would have to go back as five of the ten nails worked on had huge warps in the acrylic. I waited a few days as I REALLY did not want to go back there but I’d paid top dollar for a perfect mani and got bupkus! I finally called on a Saturday and set up an appointment for 2:00PM. I arrived to find Daughter giving Mama a pedi. I was TOLD I had to wait. Imagine? In any case, after waiting a half hour the Daughter asked me what was wrong. I showed her the FIVE nails that were glaringly deficient and she said, well all I can do is put on another coat of gel polish. No, I said, the acrylic needs to be filled to give a pure curve to the nail without wows. She snottily told me that another coat of polish was all she was prepared to do. Now, I have to say I have been having my nails done for far longer than Daughter has been alive and I KNOW from whence I speak. I then asked for my money back as I would now have to go to another salon. She said NO! and asked me to stop yelling at her when it was she who yelled out NO! Of course it made me irate and I told her that I wasn’t yelling I was simply trying to point out the deficiency in each nail. End result? I get the boot. NOCUSTOMERSERVICE. NOCUSTOMERSATISFACTION. And be careful. They like CASH and offer NOTAX for cash. Nice way tp treat the country you immigrated to from Vietnam… I am going to file a consumer complaint with the BBB(altho I doubt that they belong given the level of NOSERVICE). AND I am going to report them to the Federal and Provincial tax departments. SO, unless you LIKE plying Russian Roulette with your hair and nails DONOTGOTHERE. I had to give them one star when they deserve NONE.

I’ve been going here for mani-pedis for 2 years now. It’s run by a really friendly family who always do a great job, and the price is amazing!

These people rip you off and don provide you with what you paid for. I got my nails done, HORRIBLE job. Students in this working field could do a better job. Very disappointed:(didnt like my nails but were basically told to __OFF, and i couldnt get them fixed or my money back. Please dont go here, you’re just gonna throw your money down the drain.

Super-friendly family shop. My friend and I went for a lunchtime pedicure(no appointment, just walked in). The large massage chairs kneaded and rubbed you in some truly surprising ways, but it was easy to adjust them to your liking. After a foot soak, nails were shaped to your preference, and all of the wear and tear of summer was buffed and scrubbed away. The choices of polish is extensive, and they do a great job with nail art(as they should, else the store name would be a little disingenuous!). The store is comfortably air-conditioned too. In summary, then: super-friendly staff, pleasant clean store, and reasonable rates($ 33 for a full pedicure including nail art). Definitely will go back.

I came here the other day on a date(get this, we both got mani/pedi’s!) and it was a blast. The staff consisted of four Vietnamese family members–(an aunt, uncle, mother, daughter team) and they made us feel so at home while working on both our hands and feet at the same time. We felt so cared for. We soaked our feet in the fancy foot spas while the massage chairs(baallin’!). Most adorable of all, the mom and the aunt were both dressed super sexy for their age– the aunt in this sassy little velour short-shorts shorts/jacked ensemble with fur boots and the mom in a colorful shirt that tied around the neck. Both had their hair and makeup done to the nines– haha so awesome! My french mani was done by the uncle and he was so precise, I’m starting to think that guys are the people to go to for French tips! Today I did some painting though, so the beautiful mani has been ‘updated’ somewhat. Oops; /
