Two slices of pizza and a can of pop for $ 4.75 is not bad. I noticed they dropped the price a little bit after a new pizza joint opened up close by. The pizza is decent, the price is good and the location is great for me. The store is a bit small so taking your pizza elsewhere is probably wise.

Wow, nobody has reviewed this place in over 2 years. Parking here is available if you look around for the loading zones. The place is a hole in the wall, and if you’re in the area you might just walk right by, unless you’re going to an event at BC Place nearby. The inside is brightly lit, with Coke-themed chairs and tables. They had several flavours available. I tried the meat lover’s, and it was filled with nice pieces of mystery meat. They did not skimp out here and there was a decent amount of cheese, so I was quite happy. Turnaround is low, which does make one question the freshness of the pizza. I saw a whopping 2 people pass through here during my stay, and 1 guy ordered a new pizza. But but for those who eat anything, who cares about this. It’s street pizza. Yay! Credit cards can be used here, if you go over $ 3. In terms of taste, this place is decent. For value, not so much. Slices here are $ 2 apiece. 2 blocks away, they’re $ 1.50. Hence the 3 stars instead of 4.

I wanted to try Goldies today , but they were closed(and they don’t even have a sign or a message with the hours on their phone or anything /rant). I retreated to the library, thinking that I would try Amore Pizza again if they were open. I ate at Amore once before, a couple of years ago, but they are closed on Sundays(my usual library errands day) so I never got a chance to go back until now. I remembered that they had a pretty acceptable pesto pizza by the slice, and was pleased to find that they had one slice of it left(they also had a generic pepper, olive, tomato veggie pizza, pepperoni, and Hawaiian today). It wasn’t the freshest looking slice, but I figured it would fill my pizza hole. Wow, either Amore Pizza was having an off day, or the quality has really gone downhill in the last two years. While the little bit of pesto flavour that came through was decent, the crust was undercooked, doughy to a bit raw in the middle and had an unpleasant overly yeasty flavour. Two stars only because I bet they’re still better than the Flying Wedge inside the library building. I’m sad that I wasted the calories/appetite on such mediocre pizza.

Gotta agree with my fellow Unilocalers on this one — 4 stars. The pizza was tasty, though I believe it was $ 1.90 with tax, not $ 1.57. I got a pesto and a pepperoni, but I scored the last pepperoni so maybe they just don’t make very much of it. A very good place to stop for a bite on your way to a study session(yes, I’m a nerd) in the beautiful library.

Hooray for cheap pizza! I recommend the pesto pizza, it’s my favorite. I never ever see pepperoni here– not sure why they don’t make it. Usually a lot of ham and pineapple. If you come during non-peak hours, there’s not always that much to choose from. If you’re not in a rush, you can ask what they have in the oven. They are always playing that radio station(Is it Jack? Bob? Dave?). You know the one that pretends some random guy bough the station and plays whatever he wants(by the way– home come it’s never a girl’s name?). So you hear a lot of random 90s stuff– Counting Crows(hooray), Three Doors Down(I’d rather not), and Coldplay(eh, whatever).
