I really have no idea if it’s ‘As good as it gets’ because I’ve never done anything like this before. Regardless of my inexperience, I am loving it! I got a Groupon in March and was terrified. In June I started working out relgiously knowing that I was going to have to use my Groupon by the end of September. I’m so glad I did as I would have been puking in the bushes after the first class. My 6am instructor is Luke. I was expecting a more military demeanor but he’s very encouraging and supportive. We start out with running usually although it’s been really dark at 6am so we often hold off on the run until further into the hour. I seriously can’t believe I’m running and nobody is chasing me. I haven’t run since I was on the Track & Field team in high school(over 30 years ago!!). It actually feels pretty good. After the first class I needed to wait three days before returning. My thighs were screaming. I’m now into my second week and I’m going every other day. No problem. I don’t think I’ll do this over the winter as it’s an outdoor program but I will certainly consider re-joining next summer. I love going to the 6am class(shocker) but there’s a 7am, 5pm and 6pm as well.
