My sister and I went in here today and we loved it. I’ve been on the search for natural body lotions that don’t smell like garbage. I picked the nube 9 lotion and mixed it with an apple scent. Smells and feels great! The woman was so friendly and talked to us about each of her concoctions and helped us choose which was best. Will definitely be getting all my body lotion from here. They also have shampoo, conditioner and body wash!

YFGS is one of my favourite spots for gifts or little treats for myself. It’s such a pleasure to shop here and support a small, local business. The owner, Carina, is really warm and friendly. It’s clear she really cares about her customers. And everything here smells amazing, without being too overpowering (e.g. I find Lush’s scents sometimes too strong)!!
There are so many fancy soap/​bath product stores, but what makes YFGS soap different is that everything is natural and customizable. For instance, for the body lotion, you can pick from a variety of bases (from lighter to more thick/​heavy) and then add your own scent. You can choose from a wide selection and you can even combine them. It can be a bit overwhelming with so much choice, but they have a handy table of the different essential oils and their benefits to help you choose. Plus, staff are always happy to make recommendations. The soaps are fun and colourful with cute names like «there’s something about rosemary». Their soy candles are also lovely and long-​lasting. I have tried their liquid hand soap too and I feel like I’m at the spa every time I use it.
They have gift sets for all price ranges, and can make a custom package if you want. Everything comes nicely wrapped at no additional cost. Every time I have given a gift from YFGS it has been really well received:)

This little soap emporium is just off of the queen west strip. When you walk in you swear your transported to the willy-​wonka version of a soap store. There are big vats of different soaps and scents and oils so that you can customize any kind of body care item you dream up.
They also sell amaaaaazing candles (PB+J candel? yes please!!!), and also other bath time soaps. The owners are so sweet and will even help you create your concoction in case you need help!

Love love love! I finally got to check this place out when I was out for a walk this afternoon. I was concerned about leaving my dog tied up outside so kept popping my head out to make sure she was safe. Karina kindly offered to let me bring my dog in and so I did!
With the ability to customize products it can be a little overwhelming to make a selection. There are lots of scents to choose from and of course various combinations. Both Karina and Scott were very patient and provided their expertise and recommendations based on what I was looking for. I was able to purchase several gifts as well as some goodies for myself.
I had such excellent and personal service from a couple of very friendly people who clearly enjoy what they do. I’m looking forward to trying out my new shampoo and soap and returning to try more of their products.

What a great experience! Love the different array of products and the scents smell fantastic. The service was great, as the management taught me a lot about their products and we’re just overall super friendly. Would definitely come again and recommend it to anyone looking for all natural products. Great find in the heart of the city!

Amazing! I walked in the other day and I smelled something incredible. You know that scent that you used to love, but have never been able to find again? I used to have a massage therapist in Cali that used a specific oil… it’s smell sent me into ecstasy. I’ve been searching for that smell for 3 years, and BAM! When I walked in I smelled it. The amazing woman (the owner) had been spraying a scent that was a mixture of 4 essential oils, and that was it! I immediately bought an entire lotion bottle… and I am forever grateful. Such a pleasant place, enabling endless possibilities to find your perfect aroma, in many different forms. And they hand-​make EVERYTHING!

I’ve been popping in and out of this store the last few months since I love walking around the Trinity Bellwoods area. Tucked in a small street along Queen St, this is a hidden gem. The owner is such a sweetheart and always ensures you are feeling welcomed. With already made soaps to customizable soaps/​lotions, she also started making soy candles recently. I popped in and was sad when all her mini candles were sold out, but she ensured me that more are on the way asap! So, I can’t wait to get my hands on them soon.
Great management. Great shop. Amazing customer service with an owner who loves to take suggestions to consider for future products.

Love the fact that you can bring back the pots to reuse them (super eco friendly) or you can bring your own and help with the environment.
Used to go to Lush but this one is up for competition. Need few more products and will be all GREAT!!!

I walked past this place when it first opened with my dog. Scott was outside and greeted both myself and my dog very warmly. While I didnt want to go in while I had my pooch with me (in a word; destructive) I made a mental note to go back there, then spent a good time at work the following day on their website.
My boyfriends mother went in while xmas shopping and picked me up a few things. She isnt the type to spend hours picking scents, etc, but I certainly am. She told me that Karina was very helpful and she let her and her expert opinion choose the scents, etc. to give me.
Not only do my lotions smell amazing, but they are great. Moisturizing while not being sticky or greasy at all.
I cant wait to finish them so I can go back and create my own concoction.
I will be stopping in there soon to create my own shampoo and I cant wait.

This year for Christmas, my girlfriends and I decided to have a Green holiday. Instead of a traditional a Kris Kringle, or even an Upcycled present exchange, I asked them if this Christmas, we could give ourselves the gift of knowledge: how to lessen our exposure to harmful chemicals through products that we use every day.
Karina and Scott were lovely to meet; we felt more like friends than clients. He told us about how the lavender was grown by his mother, and she told us stories about her family back home in Mexico. And all the while, we made body butters and shampoos which were perfectly customized to all of our favourite scent and consistency. The five of us spent a good hour and a half in there, and at the end, we laughed as we got our own «Murray”– the rubber duckie who we can now bring around on our adventures.
If you’re thinking of giving personal care products to your family and friends this Christmas, give them something that doesn’t have phthalates or formaldehyde by steering clear of the mall, and instead, go straight to Queen and Markham. Highly recommended!

Smell of spa not food leads me to Your Feel Good Soap Company.
The concept is not new: you pick the lotion then the oil then the size.
But here the owner is exceptionally nice and helpful! A real family owned business, not one of those franchises were you get those uncaring staff serving you if you even get any service!
Aromatic oil and essential oil to choose from. All smell so good!
There are also hand made soap too…
I definitely smell like a spa after… Zen…
Pro Tip: Bring your own containers or buy one of theirs and keep reusing it!
