York Woods Library Theatre

We took the trek up to Finch Ave. for a stage production of the musical, ‘The Sound of Music’ staged at a fine venue inside the York Woods Library Theatre. The size of the theatre is 260 seats with a 32 foot wide stage. The stadium style seating was at a perfect angle and we got to comfortably sit in the middle center without having to cross over many other people’s seats. A nice, intimate presence! There is plenty of free parking out behind the library. At intermission there is a roomy lobby area to mill around in and grab some home baked snacks from the vendors. Kudos to the performers there who made their way to the lobby after the show in their street clothes to talk to the crowd lingering there. Great show!
