As a pioneer in family yoga, YogaBuds has developed a warm and welcoming environment for people of all ages and backgrounds. You’ll find classes for young kids, teens, as well as for moms, dads and singles. We even welcome entire families. The point is, YogaBuds is uniquely attuned to intimate group and individual needs. And, because we’re creative and different, we keep our instruction fresh and fun. YogaBuds also offers private Yoga Therapy and Yoga and Psychotherapy sessions for all ages.
History
Established in 1994.
YogaBuds Iyengar Yoga Studio was established in 1994 and was the first Family Yoga Studio in Toronto. YogaBuds founder and director Temmi Ungerman Sears, MA, ATR, OACCPP, is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher, psychotherapist, art therapist and artist and pioneered Children and Family Yoga in Canada in 1997. Since that time, YogaBuds has received extensive national and local media coverage in both print and television. Temmi is also a member and writer on the Panel of Experts for ParentsCanada Magazine. The studio has earned a reputation for offering high quality yoga and mindfulness classes to students of all ages including children, teens, adults and Parent and Child together. Classes are small in order to ensure individualized attention. Private Yoga Therapy and Yoga and Psychotherapy sessions are available for all ages. The studio is tranquil and calm and its midtown location is convenient and accessible.

Business Owner
Temmi Ungerman Sears, MA, ATR, OACCPP, is the Founder and Director of YogaBuds and was the first to teach students of all ages, pioneering yoga instruction in Canada for children and families. She has studied at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune, India on multiple occasions, and has taught yoga since 1986. Temmi holds a M.A. in Expressive Therapies, a B.Ed. in Special Education, and a BFA. She is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher and member of the Canadian Iyengar Yoga Teachers Association; a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists; a registered Art Therapist with the American Art Therapy Association; a clinical member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists; and a contributing writer and member of the Panel of Experts for Parent Canada Magazine. Widely consulted and sought after as a wellness authority, Temmi has facilitated dozens of wellness workshops for corporations.
