This Winners is located inside the Dufferin Mall which is often very busy, so I am usually in and out of the store very quickly as I often head to a certain department for a particular item and leave shortly after if I cannot find it. The store is a decent size, but often feels like everything is crammed closely together especially the women’s department making the store feels small. Therefore, on occasion I would do a quick browse through the different departments since everything is close together. Often at most, I find this location way too crowded. Definitely avoid shopping on Saturday afternoons as that’s their peak time. Sunday afternoons are sometimes better, but if you can, try going first thing in the morning if possible. Staff are usually friendly, fast and efficient and the lineup like most Winners moves rather quickly. Thanks to the number calling display system it definitely makes checkout a breeze.

This winners sucks if you’re looking for mens business attire. It seems to have a very large amount of t-shirts and more casual styled clothes to dig through though, so if that’s your thing maybe this location is worth a stop in.

The selection here was good but I found the organization of the men’s section a little confusing. Usually things are well labeled and each type of clothing is grouped together. Not here. The dress shirts were in probably three different places. There weren’t any staff to be found either. The line at the cash was long but they were pushing people through at a good clip. The cashier was nice and friendly, nicer than most Winner’s cashiers I have encountered.

Four stars for a Winners? Of course! I don’t shop Winners for clothes or anything like that, no, I go for the occasional ridiculously awesome deals on health food and whatnot, as well as very occasional household products and staples(like 10100% organic cotton hand towels for $ 5 — yeah!). The Dufferin location has never let me down on the food front: just recently picked up a whole bunch of really excellent organic granola for $ 5 per 500g bag. I’ve seen the same brand at health food shops for 2x that price. Great score! Also scored: 500g of milled Canadian brown flax(Canadian product that’s nutritionally superior to the heavily marketed American golden flax — eat that, USA!) And they’re the only place within walking distance that I’ve been able to find cold milled chia seeds on a regular basis. I’m lazy and hate milling my own seeds, so this is key for me. And $ 6 for 250g is a steal! Anyway, Winners: Health Food Store. Who knew!
