Of all the pizza chains in the city, I’ve never understood why Gino’s gets so little love. The guys that run this location are top notch, and the food is pretty darn good, too.
The panzerotti here is Bloordale’s best kept secret. Flattened to order by hand, each is filled in layers to ensure an even filling. It’s this attention to detail that make it really stand out. Every bite has crisp shell, slightly sweet sauce and a bit of your preferred toppings. The cheese is really fresh (as in slightly squeaky) and is cut back by the slight acidity of the marinara.
The wings tend to be a bit small, but I prefer them cooked in the oven the way they do it here. The jalapeño popper things aren’t worth trying IMO, I find them too processed. Stick with the Panzos, you won’t regret it.
