Vida nails spa is very accommodating and nice but they leave spots when waxing and for pedicure they don’t paint the hole nail And there nail polish is old and bad quality. When they try to get the dry skin of the bottom of my feet they don’t do a good job they miss spots and my skin is all pelley.

There are a ton of nail salons on Avenue Road, and all of them offer better results than Vida. This salon is very nice, and no issues with the staff. Everyone is friendly enough. But services are horrible. I have gotten at least 5 shellac manicures there(due to the proximity to my work… very convenient to head over on lunch breaks) and each time the shellac manicure has chipped within days. EVERYTIME. The polish application is sloppy, uneven and blotchy and from some reason — either the polishes or UV ??? — the manicure never makes it to a week, let alone two which shellac promises to do.(My regular pedi from Vida also failed — three chipped nails in one week — for those of you who know pedi’s, toe polish usually lasts foreverrrr). I know they offer competitive prices($ 19 for shellac polish change only and $ 28 for full shellac manicure) but this doesn’t justify the crappy job they do. My regular but farther place is $ 25 and it lasts three weeks easily. I only have to go back cus I am getting sick of the colour and want a change. But it never chips! And I have been to a dozen other places — all last the minimum of 2 weeks. Not sure what Vida is doing wrong, but if you want a shellac manicure that lasts for more than three days and doesn’t look like a three year old painted your nails, check out another salon :)

Vida Nails Spa is fantastic. It is very clean and the staff are impeccable in doing manis and pedis. I never feel rushed and my pedis are the best I’ve ever had — consistently! Even better than many of the very expensive spas. Staff have been there for years, which shows their dedication for sure. Atmosphere is very pleasant and all the staff are friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended. While they do take walk ins, I always make an appointment and have never had to wait more than 2 minutes.

Fantastic nail salon — excellent service, quality people and super reasonable. And the best thing I noticed was that it didn’t completely smell of nail polish and remover once inside. That toxic smell one typically inhales while sitting at the salon was no where to be found! 2 big flat screen t.v.‘s were on and they offered something to drink right away as I sat down for my pedicure. I had to leave in a hurry and since my polish wasn’t completely set yet, they gave me a pair of flip-flops to wear on the house! Now, THAT’S called good customer service. Yes, I’ll be back, Vida Nails, and I’ll be bringing flip-flops next time :)
