This is one of my top five fruit markets in the city and I only discovered it because the TTC failed at Dundas West one day and I had to get out and walk the extra stop to my home(thanks TTC!). Yes, the cashier will never make eye contact with you or really even speak to you, and she’s certainly never smiled a day in her life, but who cares about customer interactions when the produce is this good ‘n cheap?! Seriously — we’re talking two bunches of asparagus for $ 3, pints of perfectly ripe raspberries for $ 2 each, ataulfo mangoes for $ 0.80 cents apiece, and more ripe avocados and hard, ready-to-eat seedless red grapes than you can shake a stick at. I marked this as non-wheelchair accessible because although there are no steps, you can barely fit through the door it’s so small and claustrophobic inside. Leave your bags at the door!
