The Underground Comedy & Social Club is Toronto’s best venue for uncensored comedy! Located on the Eastside of Toronto in Riverside right on Queen St, it’s the first cannabis friendly Comedy Club, possibly ever! We target the best in cutting edge comedy, burlesque, music and podcasting. We represent some the best in Toronto comedy, plus we even fly in top comics from New York, LA and Denver and give them a spotlight. Also, putting aside our scheduled performers, you never know who’s going to show up!

The Underground Café strives to bring you entertainment as it was meant to be, in a friendly environment free of the rules and politics that usually confine genius. We skirt the norms of the industry, and present to the audience the best uncensored shows possible.

We cater to the medical marijuana community, our local neighbourhood, a few from out-​of-​town, and the odd mom who managed to get a babysitter and escape for the night! After 8 years in the ‘hood, we’ve established a nice solid relationship with the community and our clients appreciate the quiet private atmosphere we’ve generated.

We also have great snacks made from hempseed, and we get our coffee from Green Merchant. Soon we will be open at 4pm everyday, and not just when we have shows. Check back for any updates.

My name is Joanne Baker, I also go by Puff Mama. I am Mother Nature’s guardian, her devoted pit bull. But really I am just a cookie baker, herb seller, shop keeper, comedy nut and entertainer.
