This centre is a hub in the community. The staff are helpful and down to earth and costs are very fair, given its a city centre. There’s a small but smart weight room, great pool, gym with a new floor and lots of multipurpose and studio space. For new parents, families new to the area, or anyone who wants to get or stay active, it’s the perfect place. My only criticism ever was with the kids karate instructor. He seems to like to make kids cry, seems to have a chip on his shoulder and in general isn’t that good at karate. That’s one minus in 3 years of pluses, so whatever.

I include this in my semi-comprehensive list of Toronto pools because the pool is, frankly, its centrepiece. Number one strange bonus of this pool is that one time I got to swim behind Sarah from Much Music. *Her legs are like beautiful saplings.* Besides that, the staff are friendly, The Price is Right(spay and neuter your pets!), and the pool is decent sized with plenty of sunlight and a pretty mosaic on the wall. The changing rooms are COLD which is a deal breaker for my lizard blood during winter, but at pocketchange-per-swim it’s a great pool to drop into. (Because people drop into pools.)

I’ve only done a surface check of this place to see if I want to go there. Compared to the gym in my office, the equipment here appears to be in decent shape, but it’s definitely limited. The price is what drew me in… so I think I’ll sign up for the 6 month term to give it a try. As a bonus, it looks like there are all sorts of other activities. There were about 5 active ping pong tables when I first walked in, there’s a dance studio, and a large area I didn’t look at. I’ll update with more information once I have a chance to check it out more. I’ve noticed a real lack of information on this place on the internet, so hopefully this will clear some things up for those of us who like to research things online before we schlep ourselves over. I’m going to attach a photo of their information pamphlet with the description of what’s included with a membership. Expect to pay between $ 18.25 per month(full year committment) to $ 38.50(for one month only).
