False advertising at it’s beset here!
After finding a coupon for this company that clearing states $ 100 for two men and a truck I thought this was a great deal and I new this was a practical one because I used a similar service before, moving the same One Bedroom apartment, a year prior. I thought this was another great deal. Not that case. After it was all said and done they gave me a $ 400 dollar bill. For a small one bedroom basement apartment move. Seriously? To move from Dupont to St. Clair? They’re argument was $ 100 per hour…
We viewed the coupon which does not state this AND they provided an in person consultation where a total was NEVER given. After their assessment I reiterated «100 for three hour minimum.» And they agreed. Never was $ 400 ever brought up nor was a quote ever suggested or provided.
Finally, after everything’s been moved and this complaint was made with them, it resulted a very unprofessional altercation in my kitchen. Two grown men «professionals :/​«vs a girl and young guy. Yelling, one of them proving their case by waving his phone in my face while one tried to remain calm. Contradictory, sketchy. But calm. I don’t appreciate feeling threatened in my own kitchen. Not what I expect out of professionals.
After the kitchen altercation, it continued in the alleyway where we were given our receipt. Technically the quote too, which should have been provided at the consultation. We had asked for their names. He said, we don’t need them. Shame — what if I wanted to make a four star review? Bet it would’ve been different then.
All an all. After reading a great deal and having what we thought was a transparent consultation, unfolded into not the case. Told go with these cowboys. You can find a better deal in the City of Toronto and GTA without getting scammed, spoken down too and having a phone waved in your face like an infant. It’s Toronto, not the wild west boys.
