Three Fates, a boutique featuring vintage clothing alongside new Canadian and American
designer pieces, opened its doors recently in Toronto’s eclectic Parkdale neighbourhood.
Former wardrobe stylist and Ryerson graduate Robin Vengroff brought her vision of
transforming her grandmother’s closet into a shop to life with the concept of Three Fates.

In high school, Vengroff discovered her love of fashion as the editor of the arts and
entertainment section in her high school paper. She launched the fashion section and secured editorial pieces with local retailers. «It became pretty clear to me at a young age that I knew I was going to be in fashion, to be involved with trend and style,» says Vengroff. Her love of style led her to Ryerson’s Fashion Communications program, and from there she interned at FASHION Magazine followed by working for several small boutiques and local designers and then a corporate fashion position in the trend office of a major retailer.
Now, Vengroff hones her expertise in the Canadian and American retail industry to provide an edited collection of vintage and new pieces at Three Fates. What Vengroff loves most about vintage is the history in each piece. «I like to think that vintage clothing leads more than one life,» says Vengroff. It was this notion that led her to the name Three Fates.
