I was meandering in the general direction of the distillery district when I happened upon this shop. At first glance I was under the impression that they might sell fine wines and was mildly disappointed when I came to the realization that they only sold glasses and wine accessories. HOWEVER, upon further browsing I came to find that they have some really neat stuff there! I was completely blown away when I discovered they carried these cocktail glasses that my brother had bought me as a Christmas gift. A few of the ones he’d given me had been dropped over the years and I hadn’t been able to track them down elsewhere. Needless to say, I snatched them up so I would be able supplement the missing glasses in my set(they were also quite reasonably priced). This place is definitely worth a visit if you’re a wine aficionado. They have some really beautiful and interesting items. The staff was also helpful without being pushy — they answered any question I had, but they weren’t breathing down my neck as I perused the store.

Do you know Dale M? If you do, Ergo(tm dale2009), you know he loves his breathable wine glasses. I think he’s a pretty smart dude so I was intrigued when he told me about them. You pour the wine in… wait 3 or 4 minutes. and it aerates without a decanter. For serious? I don’t know yet, but I had to get some to try! His came from Yorkdale but I’m not slick enough to shop there so I went here instead. The best: — The service! Those of you who know me know that I don’t really scream ‘I buy vintages!’ with my outward facing self. I walked in here and they were totally happy to see me and the guy hopped up right away and helped me out. They were out of standard red in the series I wanted but the guy suggested the Bordeaux glasses and Dale concurred that it was a versatile selection via twitter. — The selection! They have a lot of things I didn’t know existed in this store. For example — a small container of steel balls for cleaning your decanter. uhhh… ya. — The prices! For a weird little shop in a weird little spot their prices rivaled Amazon’s US prices. So that’s pretty badass. The bad: — It’s in this weird castle courtyard. If I hadn’t called the distributor who told me about this retailer, I wouldn’t have known this place existed. — It’s hard to find, even if you know the address. — Parking around here sucks during the day. Would I shop here again? Yes. I would especially recommend this store if you need to buy a gift for someone who likes wine, but you aren’t really sure what to get. I bet they have tonnes of items here that could fit the bill.
