Description

History

Established in 1992.

It’s interesting what can happen in a City as large as Toronto.

Larry — born in Toronto… raised on the islands of the Azores

Roy — born in the Azores… raised in Toronto.

They met on some random December day 16 years ago at a bus stop, when Roy was volunteered by his boss to pick up some portuguese guy he just hired, at the stop. It was perfect strangers in real life. The rest, as they say, is history. They embarked down a path that lead to the inevitable talk that all friends have at some point in their relationship, the «let’s go into business together» talk.

Now, it took 15 years to happen (and as Roy puts it, to lose his mind) but in August of 2010 they made it official when they purchased a small take out restaurant: Churrasqueira Oliveria, in Toronto’s College Promenade area, at College and Dovercourt.

Hey, they’re just a couple of Portuguese Guys who really like Chicken (and those little round potatoes!)
