We’re detailers. That means we enjoy taking the time and making the effort to do all those extras that result in a paint job that looks just as good close up as it does from across the room.

That attention to detail is important because we believe our job is to paint a space to highlight the things you put in a room, not the walls themselves.

History

Established in 2009.

We started out as house painters initially. Our sense was that is was important to specialise in one thing and become masters of one trade. We quickly learned that our clients had other ideas. Soon we were repairing damaged plaster, doing minor drywall repairs and fixing broken trim and baseboards. This work was requested by customers since it needed to be done to prepare rooms in older homes before we could start painting.

So now that we’re starting our 7^th year, we’re proud to say that we can take on larger repairs depending on the size of the project and our customers’ needs.

We’re tackling exterior painting now and are licenced to operate lifts and boom cranes. In order to provide a sense of security to our staff and our customers, we’re fully insured through Certas H&A and are certified through WSIB, The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.

Back in 2009, we felt there was an opportunity to do a better job providing a basic service to homeowners. Our work is fairly straightforward; we’re house painters. The opportunity was to provide that service with an added flair for customer care, cleanliness and follow-​up. We don’t want satisfied customers, we want them to be thrilled. Only then will we know we’ve succeeded, and hopefully they will call us back or maybe even tell a friend.

My background is in foodservice and hospitality. I’m a chef by trade. Making the switch to this business was actually easier than you might imagine. In kitchens, there are set procedures for every single operation.

At The Passionate Painter, we use the same approach. We train staff in the handling of products, set up, clean up and the safe use of equipment such as ladders. There are routines in place to take care of our customers’ homes, and even their pets.
