Worst experience with furniture company ever
When you go their store they say that their system is down so they have to do everything old school (fine with me) but they put in the wrong address
Their system is always down
When you order online, they withdraw payment from your credit card even when the order is not processed or made. When you call customer service they say that their system is down and that they’ll call me back but never did. After a few days you found out that the order you never made disappear from your order history, you thought that brick took care of the issue. And then the bank called again saying that the payment is processed you have to go through bunch of procedures… this matter remain unresolved

Do they have negative stars??? Holy shit sack; my wife and I were happy last weekend when we were able to find and buy a new mattress from the ‘Urban’ store in College Park. Took 10 minutes; paid debit got a delivery date of today. So, paid on Oct 17! Money was out of bank on Oct 19^th.
My wife took a day off and we took off our old mattress and then she waited around for the delivery call. At 3 she called them and was informed there was a problem with their system a couple days ago and they don’t have the mattress in stock. Shit. Ok, deliver tomorrow. No, sorry can’t deliver until next week; we don’t have that mattress in stock anywhere. IT WAS IN STOCK WHEN THEY TOOK OUR MONEY!!. Then THEY SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE!!.
Now they are saying ‘next Saturday’ sometime. !!
THE DEALS ARE NOT WORTH IT. THERE IS NO SALE!!!

Ordered a bed from The Brick. Just a warning for anyone looking to buy furniture from The Brick — The estimated delivery or pick up dates on the website are VERY MISLEADING. My bed arrived almost 1 MONTH after the expected date. Now, if the company were apologetic, I would not have minded as much despite the fact that I had to sleep on the floor for that whole time. What is really frustrating is that they do not bother to call you to let you know there will be delay. My bed was delayed 3 TIMES and each time I was told that I had to call to find out what was happening! If you have to book off work to receive a delivery, this is a complete nightmare. When the furniture finally arrives at a store, you randomly get an automated call telling you that the furniture will be delivered the next day.
Because of the lengthy delay, a manager agreed to deliver and assemble the bed for free (delivery is advertised as including installation). Of course the delivery guys tried to dump and dash without assembling the bed! I had to stop them in their tracks. Even while they were assembling the bed, they tried to take short cuts (e.g. not nailing in the slats).
The only reason I gave this company 2 stars rather than 1 is that I like my bed.

This place is the absolute worse. They have the worst costumer service in this place. To do a simple return it takes 3 people to figure out the transaction. Beside that, the furniture is poor quality, over priced for what you get. I recommend avoiding this place at all cost. Shop around other furniture stores. You find a better deal and better quality furniture sold outside of this place. — as I sit here waiting on these amazing employees.
I was able to find all new furniture from other stores that delivered the same day during the 3 weeks they told me it will take to get the stuff I ordered from the brick.
AVOID!

By far, the worst shopping experience I’ve had in Canada!
They are so nice at the store to sell you something, but that’s it. We bought a sofa bed and it was expected to be delivered on a Sunday, between 11−2pm. Of course they were almost 3h late, but the surprise was: we needed to have the elevator on service mode so they could deliver the couch. We were never told about this policy, and even though we explained that it was an old building and that the elevator doesn’t go on service mode, they said they would need to reschedule and that the building manager should be present.
But the frosting of the cake was: during this whole thing, the store was apparently too busy whenever I called from my phone (the one I gave when I made the purchase) and it was always going to voicemail, I had to call from my work phone or my husband’s phone if I wanted them to pick it up!
They were unbelievably rude after that, as if they were making us a favour because we bought the couch on sale. Really? In the end it was still a 959.00 purchase. I don’t think it was even that cheap anyway. If you can’t do sale, just don’t do it.
Not to go any further, after a second failed attempt to deliver (and another day lost waiting for them), we just asked for a refund.
Honestly, major frustration. I wish I had read the previous review.

I had to rant on Unilocal and Facebook to get my broken item exchanged and my complaints taken seriously.
All that being said and done, I love the look of my living room and I’m happy I didn’t throw in towel. The brick delivery service has a lot to learn in order to not spoil the customer’s shopping experience, but if you find a piece you love beyond words, it may be worth the risk.

I was walking downtown today in search of a new apartment with the boyfriend and we stumbled upon the Urban Brick.
This relative to THE BRICK — the crazy huge industrial sized furniture department stores — was a great surprise because it carries very trendy and interesting looking furniture that is different from what the other stores have in stock.
As well, the prices are amazing and they offer up the great «BRICK DEAL».
The «BRICK DEAL» means you can finance the furniture and pay it off slowly over a course of a year or not pay for it for a year, save up and then pay it off once you ring in a new year.
I saw some great stuff, like a leather covered head and foot board to dress up any bed for $ 699, a microfibre futon couch which can pull out into a Queen size bed for $ 400 and a chocolate brown leather couch for $ 700.
Urban Brick also carries great accessories and trinkets for the home.
