History

Established in 2013.

The Box Toronto was founded by Toronto Actor, director and producer Vikki Velenosi in March 2013. Located on Niagara Street, right in the middle of King West and the Toronto Theatre District.

Mission: To fill the need in Toronto for affordable, accessible, clean rehearsal, studio and performance space and to help nurture and support theatre from the beginning stages of the artistic process to polished performance and everything in between.

Meet the Business Owner

Vikki V.

Business Owner

Vikki is a storyteller. She grew up with 6 rabbits and 2 fish, but really, all she wanted was a dog. One day, at the age of 9 and a half, she got to see a musical. It was called The Wizard of Oz. They were dancing and singing and pouring their hearts out to the delight of a crowd. Her life was never the same again.

Many years passed and Vikki is now living in Toronto and working as an Actor, Singer, Director, Writer, Producer and Stage Manager. She still does not have a dog. But she does have a great cat.

Favourite acting credits include: The Voysey Inheritance (Ethyl Voysey), Sweeney Todd (Beggar Woman), Richard III (Lady Ann), The Seagull (Nina), Widows (Cecilia).

Vikki also wrote and starred in the extremely successful Toronto Fringe show, The Princess of Porn: The Musical.

Vikki is a graduate of the University of WIndsor’s BFA Acting program.
