From simple hems to major tailoring surgery, Michelle and her crew are highly skilled, friendly and knowledgable.
I’ve taken in pieces I thought were lost causes and they were brought back to life through Tailoress’ tailoring talents!
EBay purchases that didn’t quite fit right and high end suits that needed that final touch/​tailoring worthy of their fabric — this is the place to bring your items and tailoring needs both big and small.

This is the second time that I’ve visited Tailoress. And this experience was not at all pleasant. I’m fairly certain that I was overcharged as looking at my bill they have numbers scratched out and put in and its all over the place. The experience was an uncomfortable one, the only saving grace was the person who was doing the tailoring. The other staff seemed disinterested. I had to come in three times. The final time for the pick up which was three days after I was told to pick it up — the shirts that I had tailored were not even ready, and the staff member had to go back searching for it. I’m definitely not going back better value for money elsewhere for sure!

These folks did a HORRIBLE job on just about everything I brought in. Different length pant legs, crooked uneven hems, different shaped sleeves. Seriously. When I brought it to their attention to have it fixed, they shrugged it off, no big deal. Fixed some, not others. Some of it very expensive clothing, some actually not fixable (for example, you can’t make a pant leg or sleeve longer again…) lousy attitude, lousy service, unjustifiable prices especially considering the poor quality and service and also the fact I never wore those clothes again. Save your money and your clothes. Go elsewhere!

Excellent, high quality service at reasonable prices. I had an urgent need to have a zipper fixed on a dress before I left on a business trip and they were able to find a navy zipper and replace it within a couple of hours. The zipper works great and much higher quality than the original one. Professional and competent are the highest priority for me and this business is exactly that.

Great when she’s in a good mood but beware…
The owner (I believe she was the owner) was very pleasant until I had a question that she didn’t like. Her smile quickly became a scowl and she wasn’t very pleasant anymore. She was extremely rude and condescending, and became pretty aggressive towards us in a matter of minutes.
I will be happily returning to the less glamorous, but good quality and far more reasonably priced option a bit south down the street on Roncesvalles, instead of giving my money to a business run by an owner who thinks her customers are a nuisance to scowl at.
Apart from that the prices are hipster high, but I didn’t mind for what I perceived to a premium service. Which it wasn’t.

I have been searching for a long time for a high quality professional tailor/​seamstress that I can trust with my nicest clothes. And I have finally found her. I had purchased a vintage dress from a local shop. It needed repairs and they recommended Tailoress. She was extremely knowledgeable about fabric, design, and detailing, and was clearly comfortable working with high quality clothing and more challenging fabrics. The repairs and alterations were perfectly done. She was obviously highly experienced; I would trust her with anything. I noticed that she also has her own clothing line and that her designs and fabrics are quite beautiful.

AMAZING. have now had three items made to order, and am about to bring in a wack load of clothing to be restyled. this place isn’t your typical old guy in the back of a dry cleaner! they do the simple stuff, don’t misunderstand, but i now won’t trust any of my (precious!) clothing anywhere else. highly recommend.

We have all our pants hemmed here for our customers of ONE TOOTH activewear in Bloor West and Tailoress always does a great, fast job at a reasonable price!
