History

Established in 1970.

Summerhill Optometry was started as Gropp Optics in 1970 by Dr. John Gropp. He retired in 2012 and sold the practice to Dr. Naeem Abdulla who updated the name to Summerhill Optometry.

The office was completely renovated in the fall of 2014. The latest diagnostic technologies were incorporated to better serve his patients.

Summerhill Optometry has been at 92 Shaftesbury Ave since 1986.

Meet the Business Owner

Naeem A.

Business Owner

Dr. Abdulla is from St. Catharines, ON and graduated from Queen’s University. He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 2003. He started a family oriented private practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico for five years before returning back home to Canada in 2008 where he worked in both ophthalmology and optometry practices.

Dr. Abdulla is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the College of Optometrists of Ontario where he is licensed to prescribe medication for the treatment of eye diseases.
