**This review is for the Off-leash dog park. I just discovered the off leash park when I found a dog running loose in the parking lot of Taylor Creek Park. I walked the dog back up the embankment to look for his owner and that’s when I discovered the park. If using the Taylor Creek parking lot keep an eye out for dogs that are off-leash running around in the parking lot. This dog that was wandering was almost hit by a car backing up. I brought my dog here a few times and it’s o.k. There are three ways to get to it, one is using the stairs from Haldon Drive. The second, is from the Taylor Creek parking lot that is off of Haldon Drive, the«path» is steep and not good for someone that has mobility issues. The third is form Cedarvale Ave, which is a bit of a walk through Stan Wadlow Park. The off-leash are is not a big area so anymore then 15 dogs + owners will make it a bit crowded. Most of the dogs that I have encountered are well behaved, however, some of the owners are«bullies». So use the park with caution. To give an example, this is what I observed a couple of weeks ago, a dog owner freaked out and started yelling at another man over the type of ball that was brought into the off-leash area. There was no «conversation» the guy just walked over and started yelling and swearing at this man, calling him all kinds of nasty names and hurling all kinds of insults. He was then joined by another white elderly man who hurled his own insults(it was a two on one situation). When I see these two I avoid going into the off-leash area to avoid a confrontation because of something that my dog or I might have done that was not up to their liking. So again, users be aware that this type of behaviour occurs. ***Safety Alert: There is an older white male(mid 50s-60s) that has been taking pictures of people, particularly women in the off-leash area. I asked him once why he was taking pictures and he blew me a kiss then did some weird hand gesture thing.
