The Spiral Movement Center offers cutting-edge somatics-based solution to injury and rehabilitation. A Spiral Praxis practitioner works jointly with clients to explore chronic pain and the initiate the healing process. Unlike the regimented, cookie-cutter approach of many traditional therapies, A Spiral Praxis practitioner will skillfully use a wide range of creative bodymind approaches to help a client re-start their own self-healing mechanisms.
The unique, individualized approach of Spiral Praxis often can help where traditional approaches cannot. We work with a broad spectrum of people including athletes, dancers, office workers, yoga practitioners, rock climbers and many others, both for rehabilitation and alignment work. We also offer services for children with special needs and severe disabilities. Our innovative work has been used at Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation, Autism Ontario, Pegasus Community Project, Gifted People Services and Toronto District School Board.

History
Established in 2009.
The Spiral Movement Center is home to Spiral Praxis, a comprehensive bodymind approach that helps people discover their self-healing mechanisms and improve their inner functioning. It is one of the few somatics-based centers in Canada and is fully accredited by the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association as an approved training program.

Business Owner
Stephanie and Yuji are co-founders of Spiral Praxis and have been working together for over 20 years. WIth a background of modern dance and physics, they have used their artistic and scientific background to create innovative somatic interventions for wide range of clinical applications. They have published their work in a variety of journals and have demonstrated their work at many universities across the United States
