Solace Settlement Services specializes in the settlement of family law issues following separation and divorce. We provide settlement negotiation, mediation, arbritration and domestic violence screening services.

We also draft domestic contracts including Marriage Contracts, Cohabitation Agreements and Separation Agreements and Wills.

History

Established in 2009.

Solace Settlement Services was founded by Michelle Roy a Family Law Lawyer, Mediator and Arbitrator in the fall of 2009 when she decided to hang up her litigation boxing gloves and concentrate on helping her clients find solace in their lives by settling their family law issues out of court.

Having worked in the legal field for almost 15 years, Michelle knows that using the court system to resolve family law disputes can be unpredictable, expensive, tedious, and emotionally draining.

Michelle feels it is best for separating spouses, especially their children, if they are able to reach an amicable settlement of their family law issues out of court.

Michelle Roy is a Family Law Lawyer, Mediator and Arbitrator who has been working in the legal field for almost 15 years. Compassionate and sensitive to her clients’ needs, interests and concerns, Michelle is dedicated to helping her clients reach a settlement of their family law issues that will enable them to find solace and move past a difficult time in their lives.

Michelle assists clients to reach creative resolutions of their family law issues that best meet their goals and concerns through settlement negotiation and mediation. She also provides arbitration and domestic violence screening services.

Michelle completed a 100 hour Family Mediation Internship with two of the most reputable Mediators in the GTA: Hilary Linton of Riverdale Mediation and Dr. Barbara Jo Fidler of Family Solutions.
