Sleeping Giant used to be a laundromat and it makes sense when you walk in. This relatively new gallery is narrow and long but comfortable and cozy. The walls are generally stark white but it has a gorgeous hard wood floor made from re-purposed beams. It’s well lit and the simple surroundings help the art to really pop out at the viewer. I had the pleasure of being there for it’s grand opening party for New Years 2009 and have seen a few really good shows since. It’s a nice space for an opening night party. The current hours are Thursday to Sunday, 12 – 4 on Thursday and Sunday, 12 – 8 on Friday and Saturday. Prices will vary depending on the artist.
