Barry St. Pierre owns this Shopper’s Pharmacy and he is so fantastic I have to ensure that everyone knows what a wonderful pharmacist he is! Barry is on top of everything and when you have a problem with any of his staff screwing up your prescriptions, he will take care of it immediately. He is an exceptionally kind man and has helped me out many times when I’ve been unable to pay the full deductible on my medication. He is generous to people on disability and seniors with limited income. He is compassionate and has great people skills. My medical situation is complex and he helps me feel like things are completely under control. He is also very smart and able to answer any questions about medication that I have. He is helpful with diabetes and suggestions for managing glucose as well. I honestly cannot say enough good things about him. A pharmacist is a very important part of your health care team so if you are living nearby and want an excellent pharmacist, go see Barry! This location is open 24 hours as well which is very helpful. I generally like this location of Shoppers as they have great sales and well-stocked shelves. Their beauty and cosmetic section is well staffed with kind and friendly people who are very helpful. The only thing about this store that needs improvement is that there are never enough cashiers at the front. But this seems to be a problem every Shoppers location struggles with! Thank you, Barry, for being such an amazing human being and pharmacist!

The post office in here is open 7 days a week which is great as you won’t believe how many times on Sunday I needed to post something. Things go quickly here if there is big sale on something. The key to getting your item is knowing when they go on sale. I have gone many times at 11:30 at night and grabbed my things and looked around til midnight and then BAM! on sale but only if it is a good sale. I believe their truck comes on Tuesdays to replenish then. Also, don’t forget you can always get a raincheck up to 4 items if something is out of stock. Just tell them at the cashier. It lasts for 30 days. This Shopper’s seems to be in a great location if you are in a car or live in the neighbourhood. The staff is helpful when asked nicely. I have seen many grumps in there being rude to the staff but when I ask nicely they always seem to help. I really wish this location would do something about all the asphalt. I think this would be a great corner for a low-rise condo or high density housing with a shopping place at the bottom. Or it would be nice to become a loblaw’s or something similar. Oh, and if you don’t have a points card… ask the person behind if they have one so they can get the points!

In this shoppers drug Mart the pharmacy is run like clockwork. It’s one of the best run pharmacies I’ve ever been to. Since the Loblaw’s company have purchased all of the shoppers drug Mart’s. The prices have gone up 15% right across the board. I have been in the hospitality business 42 years. Loblaw’s is going to price shoppers drug Mart right out of business. Speaking of this shoppers drug Mart at Woodbine and O’Connor. I was there at 10 o’clock this morning and 90% of their sale items are either not on the shelves or sold out and the sale went on today this is just bad management. But if you’re going for the pharmacy it’s second to none one of the best in the city

I tend to use this SDM quite a bit, being not far from my home. They have a good selection, nice cosmetic counter, and a grocery area. They also have a Canada Post counter. However, I had great service recently from the Photo dept. I went with little time to get 2 — 5X7 prints and used the self serve kiosk. It said that I would have to wait, but the young lady came over and checked me out and did the photos in 5 minutes. Awesome! Also, I found two frames that were perfect for these as they are to be a gift. Thanks SDM Photo dept. Much appreciated!

The cosmetic counter deserves a 5 star the main girls there know their job well and are so so helpful and quickly become friends and confidents. As for the rest of the store its a general let down, seldom do they have any of the sale items less, I suppose its so you will buy the reg price items but most ppl simply leave and go somewhere else! It a shame that the store is set up the way it is and cosmetics works their butts off and its not acknowledged nor is their loyalty because everyone cashes out all of their purchases on the only way out of the store and not at cosmetics. Hopefully this store will become a one stop shopping experience some day instead of cosmetics there and everything else at another location!

Service is horrible & staff very rude. This has happened on a number of occasions. Shared info with friends that have also shopped here & surprisingly they have experienced same. Although the parking & location is best feature I will not be returning any time soon.

This shoppers is new and clean but what is so annoying is how they designed it. Why on earth did they not build a door at the back for the parking lot? Or at least build the parking lot in the front? Some staff is really nice, some is disgustingly rude. Good luck!

It is easy to park. Every time we’ve been there have been long line ups for the cash register and nobody eager to jump on a register and speed up the process. There is a woman who works at the perfume desk who(TWICE) has given my girlfriend a hard time. Once she was short and snappy when my missus inquired about different nail polishes and the other time she barked that we «weren’t in her area» so she wouldn’t help. You’ll know her if you see her, she’s the only with an ugly scowl on her face.

This large Shoppers in the last few years took over what used to be a 7⁄11 and a St. Huberts. Just so you know. I like everything about this one. It’s big, good layout, has good selection etc. But what I can’t understand is why the only door is at the very corner of Avenue Rd and Lawrence. If you park in the back, you walk around the entire perimeter of the store to get the entrance, and when you exit you have to drag all your stuff around to the back. I guess someone wasn’t thinking

I repeatedly leave this store feeling frustrated. The reason… it runs out of many of the advertised sales items so fast that customers are unable to purchase them. I went today with a list of 6 «must buy«sales items, to find 3 were already out of stock, only the 2nd day into the actual sale. When/if there will be more? No one knows. There are actually many reasons to shop this location… big parking lot where you can actually take your full cart to your car, great hours, a nice food section. But I always have to either make another trip to search for the items or end up going to another store. Given the large number of shoppers and the large size of the store, one might wonder why more accurate product counts aren’t being ordered in anticipation of the demand.
