A practicing Optometrist since 2001, Dr. Shirley Blanc brings years of eye care experience with her as she strives to provide superior service and expertise to each of her patients.

Dr. Blanc holds a B.Sc. from University of Waterloo (1997) and a Doctor of Optometry from University of Waterloo School of Optometry (2001). She spent many years working in different settings within the optometric world, including in private practice catering to all ages, a multi-​disciplinary executive medical clinic, and in a laser surgery center performing pre– and post-​operative assessments.

Dr. Blanc practices with an emphasis on preventative care. This includes macular degeneration risk reduction, patient education, and incorporation of a wellness approach to eye health, as well as finding solutions for an individual’s work, school, and lifestyle-​based needs. Her specialized training in vision therapy and vision rehabilitation from traumatic brain injury enables her to put particular focus on helping patients suffering from unresolved vision symptoms following a head injury.
