I hadn’t been there in a while, but wow, not a good place for organization, incredibly disorganized. I saw one(senior) staff member ask for instruction on basic deadheading. This does not inspire confidence. Staff could not give me an actual price on something I asked about and did not even try to look it up. I saw some staff fawning over a few clients but I felt ignored(a price??). I asked if they had a native plant section, only to be taken to a rack full of abandoned and abused non-native plants. There WERE native plants for sale in other areas I discovered, maybe the staff just don’t know anything about native plants. Or couldn’t be bothered.

Most of the time, I always come here and get flowers and plants. But last week, I had a horrible experience with one of the stuff. Her name is Lindsay. She’s on her late 60’s I guess. So hard to explain and say something, she’s freaking out right away. SOSNAPPYLIKE A WILDDOG. I just hope I won’t encounter her again. So awkward.

The store on Yonge street is extremely frustrating to deal with. The staff at the cash are very disorganized and don’t seem to know what they are doing. It often takes 3 staff members to find an order. For example, I bought sod, mulch, plants & trees on July 15th. Everything was in stock except for the 2 trees on that day so I paid for everything but the trees. I asked them when they expect the trees in so that I can organize for my landscaper to pick everything up at once and install it all on one day so that I don’t incur extra charges from him. They tell me Friday and I say great, I will have him pick EVERYTHING up on Saturday. They say that is fine. Not trusting them(as in the past, my landscaper has gone to get things and they«can’t find them») I called them a few hours ago to confirm that everything is there and ready for him so that he isn’t waiting while they scramble trying to find everything. The girl I speak with says yes, everything is there. I then tell her that I still need to pay for the trees as they weren’t in stock on the 15th. She passes me to the nursery supervisor and I pay over the phone for the trees. This lady then tells me that the SOD is not in stock anymore because the sod needs to be planted within a certain time. WTF! Why didn’t they tell me this when I bought it on the 15th?!! I tell her that I had to organize my landscaper well in advance for today and now will be incurring extra charges for him to come back a second time. I am not happy and I do not recommend this store. For these prices, I would except exceptional service. This is very disappointing.

I had the best Friday evening ever ! The nursery has an amazing collection of plants to suit your needs and an excellent staff to guide you through your plant questions . I was helped by a lady who showed me how to water my palm, helped me select a few house plants and also showed me how to transfer pots . A definite visit for those that love gardening, plants and flowers !!

Very knowledgeable staff, friendly service, and absolutely lovely plants. We were newbies to house plants(who can commit these days!) but managed to pick and purchase two beautiful trees, a braided ficus(~$ 80) and a tall dracaena elegance cane with 5 stalks(~$ 150). We had to rent a zipcar van to take everything home but it was well worth it! Lots of selection of little guys and bigger house trees, including plants that do okay in low light and indirect light. Staff helped us pick the right soil and planters and gave us clear care instructions. It was an absolutely painless experience and now we feel ready to take care of our new babies.

I came here to buy my friend’s favorite perennial as a gift and not knowing a thing about plants I felt a little lost but the staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I had originally intended to buy the perennial and have it potted, and based on the exposure of where it was going to be located, and bloom time my «assistant» selected a few other complementing plants/flowers and also helped me pick out a really nice looking, modern pot… not one of those ugly terracotta pots. It’s like she knew my style! Great customer service, and overall excellent experience.

*Whoa Whoa* good service. I’ve been to plant nurseries before where I’ve actually felt kind of alienated for not being a 50 year old woman who’s read«Green Thoughts» 5 times and/or can actually keep an orchid alive. But I am a long term geranium cultivator and in general a great appreciator of plants. It was *thus* that my new roommate and I drove up to Sheridan for some apartment junglization. Not only did they offer to re-pot any of our new, or current plants, they carried everything out for us and gave us a patient run-down on the care of each one. Actually a fun experience. plant shopping. Of note: 5 small plants for $ 17, and the *huge* houseplant I took a photo of was currently on sale for $ 20! These plants, seriously, it’s like they grow on trees.

I went to this place looking for tropical plants and I wasn’t sure about what to expect initially as they looked small from the outside. I was pleasantly surprised with their selection though. I found a nice variety of house plants inside(a few of each kind). What I really liked about them was the quality of their plants. They were really well maintained. The staff was helpful and friendly too. I ended up getting a healthy looking zz plant.

Friendly and very obliging staff. Great selection of plants nicely arranged in a logical sequence so that it is easy to find the different types.
