Sgt. Splatter’s Project Paintball

It’s a great place to go paintballing. You can find a better place unless your willing to travel a bit. I would recommend this place. My issue with this place is that the field itself isnt that great. The staff are cool here. Definitely check it out

Recently Sgt. Splatter’s has gone through many changes. I believe it’s new management and now this place is amazing. They have installed in brand new lights, so you can see what you are shooting and ref’s are fair on splitting teams. The price is slightly more then paintball city on sundays but worth checking it out. I will defiantly be there for sundays as many people come play after 2pm. Keep up the great work !

I must start by saying that I am by no means an avid paintballer (is that the right term?). I went to Sgt Splatter’s for a corporate event, and basically used all the equipment that was included with the bundle.
In terms of the price, the whole experience cost us under $ 50 each, which I suppose is a good deal.
The indoor terrain has enough levels and barriers to make for an interesting game, and the paintball guns provided were in decent shape.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the masks and overalls as I thought they could be a lot cleaner. In fact, I should say that I could really only see from one side of the mask, which would explain why I always got blindsided ! The long wait time in between games were also particularly annoying though I’m not sure how exactly this could be addressed.
Overall, I had a good time, but don’t really see myself organizing a trip to this spot in the near future.

We had a TON of fun, but there was a lot to be desired at this spot.
Checking in/​paying: You go talk to the guy and you get some waivers to fill out, then you go back to that guy and pay for yourself/​your party. Seems redundant, as there can be a line up sometimes. Maybe just have the waivers and a big sign at the door?
Equipment: I’m by no means an expert in this. I upgraded to the nicer gun and was pretty happy with its performance. My friends all rented jump suits, which is a good idea to have, since the entire place is coated in paint. The suits came in a variety of sizes, from the very small to the very tall. The price for extra paint balls seemed kind of steep.
The play: The people introducing the games were very young (early teens) who had a hard time getting the crowd to pay attention. For one thing, they weren’t wearing a uniform or anything, and they looked just like everyone else (who were also mostly 14-​year old boys), except they weren’t carrying guns. So you didn’t even KNOW you were supposed to pay attention to them. We just basically stood around the area until an exasperated kid said «I’m not going to start until everyone’s listening» in a tone that suggested that he had been trying to get our attention for quite some time. Which was not the case. This issue could have been solved by a megaphone. We’re in a warehouse full of sand. Voices do NOT travel. That’s the other problem we had. When the games ended, they gave a 1-​minute warning, but unless you were right beside the guy, you couldn’t hear him yelling. An air horn, or that super loud beeping you get from a megaphone would have done nicely. Hell, even a doorbell would have been louder than someone standing at the door saying «GAME OVER!» particularly when we’re all shooting air guns.
In game play, they split you up into two teams, with one team being identified by a caution tape arm band that you tie on. Caution tape that ran out in the middle of the afternoon. We thought they could solve this problem by providing pinnies. They’re cheap and washable. Probably would have prevented a lot of friendly fire.
The space: The space is very cool. Lots of cabins and buildings, barrels and cars. Lots of places to hide. It’s dark, which makes it hard to see, but also makes it more fun. I like that there are second levels around the walls for optimal sniping.
All in all, most of us had a great time, but it would have been better if there were clearer instructions on the rules of the game, where you can buy stuff and just generally more interested staff (one guy was AMAZING. Super friendly, patient and helpful. The rest seemed slightly annoyed at our presence.)
I’m not entirely sure that I would come back again, as fun as it was, these sort of organizational things made for a frustrating experience.

Good Facilities, horrible HORRIBLE staff. I went there with 8 friends not expecting much, but the staff were pretty much revolting. One of them kept dropping extremely discriminative jokes, making fun of Jews etc because the majority of my group were Arab, and he thought we would find it funny. He then went ahead and tried to overcharge us because he knew it was our first time.
After we were done, one of my friends was complaining about the mask she got because it was too scratched, the guy she was talking to looked at me and said «tell her I don’t allow women to speak to me that way» that was the tipping point. Would not recommend. Don’t know if its always like that, or because we went there 11pm on a Saturday, but I’m definitely never going there again.

–Crazy paint prices! 10 $+tax for a 100 balls? U R kidding?! You can pick up a box/​2000 for 30+tax at any paintball store! Ripoff
–Place is really dark
–Everything has like an inch of paint on it, even if you didn’t get shot you will get a lot of paint on you.
–Kids working as refs/immature/don’t care about anything.

Horribly enforced safety rules — some guys were shooting paintballs on the parking lot! without wearing masks and my friend and I standing 15 ft away from them. Staff and players not wearing gun bags on their markers while walking in a non-​playing area.
Half the guns barely work!
Rules of the games were poorly explained.
Don’t bring your kids here for a birthday party — they will just have a bad bad time.
The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because the playing ground itself is not bad. Someone should just fire every staff and hire a brand new team.
Seriously, Sunday afternoon completely wasted on this sorry excuse for a paintball field.

I don’t feel right rating this paintball site because I have absolutely nothing to compare my experience with. The purpose of this review is to share my experience as a newbie for others who have never tried paintball before.
I went on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 6 people, and all but one of us had never played paintball before. In general, I had a lot of fun, but I found some of the games at Sgt. Splatters really confusing. It was also a bit intimidating and sometimes difficult to get much play time in because many people of all levels are playing at the same time. So you may be playing with people with far more experience and much better equipment than you. This was the biggest downfall, and the reason I would like to try other paintball venues in the future. If you are going with a really large group, then Sgt. Spatters might be perfect for you, but if your group is 15 people or less and is comprised of many inexperienced paintballers, then another venue that allows you to play with just your group may be a better option.
However, I am giving it 4 stars because as I mentioned it isn’t fair for me to rate without having a place to compare it to, it was TTC accessible, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

As we bunker down in 2 storey buildings, wooden barrels, vehicles.
Heartbeats intensify when enemy insurgence approaches midway.
We return cover fire to claim better strategic placement but…
We were too late as paint splatters all across the battlefield.
As I look across to see my fellow paintballers walk out in shame.
Defeat.

Half Price Mondays was a popular day where we saw plenty of Players. Staff were great with us as we requested a couple PRIVATE games even when there were plenty of other groups waiting for their turn. Thank you!
It can get hectic around the staff when every group awaits their turn to pay or request items. Make sure you know what you need so you don’t have to make so many trips back to the counter where you might wait indefinitely and waste valuable game time. 3.5’d
All the other Players were quite welcoming when it came to the open-​game where the staff splits the teams. By no means did the upgraded Tippmann 98/​BT Guns any match with those that came with their own weapon-​of-​choice but it was still enjoyable.
Tip: Yeah, wear dirty shoes if not dirty everything.
Secondly, if you want to further CAMOUFLAGE.
Roll around on the muddy painted sand until you’re covered.
There’s a funnel attached to a table to help you refill ammo.

It is open ²⁴⁄₇ and the price is good. You can go with your own group, or go by yourself and join a team at the arena. The terrain has resonable challenges. Remember to bring your dirty shoes, and wear clothes that you won’t care about getting dirty. Also, players are welcome to bring their own equipment.

For paintball enthusiasts and first timers as well, this place is great for some serious or casual paintball. Even better with groups, and works as a great event for corporations and non-​profit organizations. I’ve organized a couple trips here myself, with groups of 40+ and I have to say I’ve always left satisfied.
The staff are very friendly and professional. Safety is their number one concern, which is a relief for me, since I have to consider liability issues! The staff regulates the games, and keeps an eye on game play to ensure there is no shady business going on.
I often see birthday parties for 10 – 12 year olds, which makes me realize how family and child friendly this place really is. I’ve never heard of anyone getting really badly hurt, and if there is any dangerous play the staff quickly address it (and sometimes boot the offending player off the field).
You can bring your own paintball gun and equipment (which I always do and sometimes they let you bring your own paintballs as well), or you can rent the gun and equipment directly from them. Coveralls, mask, gloves, gun, Co2 tank — they have everything you need. If you play or are planning to go often, you could avoid gun rental fees altogether and pickup a nice semi automatic paintball gun for a couple hundred bucks. Well worth the investment in my opinion.
I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Paintball is an amazing sport and I’m glad places like Sgt. Splatter’s are around to provide a venue to experience it. You could always go to the bushes around the bend but… somehow I don’t think it would be as much fun!
