Apparently I’ve never reviewed this amazing place!
I heard about this place more than 4 years ago when I was looking for bras to accommodate my ample chest. I had horrible scarring from bras that just didn’t fit me though other stores «assured» me they did. I now make my pilgrimage every year. I love the service, the fitting, the selection and the prices.
Yes, this place is more expensive than La Senza/Victoria’s Secret but these bras last me a long time. I just threw away a bra I had from my first shopping trip (more than 4 years ago) because it was in good condition for a long time and then got demoted to an unsexy house bra for doing chores. I could totally have gotten the straps altered but it didn’t look good anymore so bye.
I come back every year because I’m in the process of losing weight but I could see these bras lasting a good 2 years with proper care if you are a consistent weight.
I save a lot more money buying from here instead of the cheaper, less quality-​oriented stores.
Never had rude service here and I typically receive rude service in higher end stores based on my appearance.
OH and they have bags for your purchases now! I remember a time when I brought a bunch of bras and had to walk home in the rain with them wrapped in paper.

Great bra store if you don’t have a usual size and are looking for brands to accomodate that. For me I have a small rib cage but huge cup size, and usually are looking for 28 °F or 30G and I’ve figured that the French brand Empreinte fits me perfectly. Almost every style is a good fit and the quality/​fabric holds up the extra weight and can function well for at least 3 years with no rips (unlikeother brands i’ve purchased from here). Their selection of Empreinte bras are good, well stocked with the classic styles and some seasonal ones. After a while i’ve found that I’ve pretty much purchased all the empreinte bras they had. I mean in North America they are probably one of the most well stocked (after looking for stores in Toronto and NYC).
I’ve also visited the Empreinte store in Paris but they had weird hours when I was visiting.
Of course you will get a better fitted bra here than your average department stores. However, I have to say their fitters level of expertise and service have gone down significantly for the last three years I’ve been visiting. They also don’t keep a good record of who fitted you (the name of the cashier is always noted) so its frustrating when you want to book an appointment.
They always send you home with a bottle of soak and have sales spring time for white bra month.

I had a great experience here. No, you don’t walk around browsing and some people may not like that. But I needed a professional, experienced, salesperson who knew the inventory well and could save me time by bringing the right fit directly to me.
The rooms are lovely, stocked with robes, baby powder, Avene thermal water spray, tissues, etc. It feels like a personal concierge experience that you should have to pay extra for. But you don’t.
Most bras I tried were about $ 100 – 130. I bought one and said I’d be back if it fit well over the next few weeks. I was happy to hear they created a file for me and so would have my history on site if I couldn’t remember key details.
I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere else in Toronto from now on.

My first visit was out of necessity. I was nursing and kept not finding bras that would get along with me. After scoping what maternity stores had to offer, and a couple of dept. stores, one of my most favourite bras ended up being from SFYS. Costly, for me, at $ 75, but worth having at least one bra that I could wear out to certain functions.
Today I was back. Checking out their 50% off buckets of panties. Wanted a second opinion about my actual and current bra size. Again, since companies aren’t regulated by any one standard, I was told that realistically, my size would fluctuate. That rib size (determines the number) and cup size (determines the letter part of one’s size), are interdependent. That to get the very best fit, in clothing and in bras, it’s important to try things on in person.
I liked the quality that was there. Material that would last, if you knew to not toss it straight into a machine without a lingerie bag. Also, everything was classy, not skanky.
Selection was o.k. Not always abundant, looked like there was often just one of something on display.
Service was good. You have to wait to try anything on, and a professional bra fitter would always be around to help you out. Mine was well-​dressed, clean, and quite polite, respectful, and not pushy.
Prices are higher than the average prices at La Senza, but quality and uniqueness of some pieces are the reason behind this.
Yes, I’d go back, and recommend this place to a friend.

I’m really happy that I don’t have a sister, especially a fake bitchy know-​it-​all sister without any good secrets. My visit here was not at all what I expected. What I hoped for was solid advice and a beautiful selection of stylish bras that fit great, in my hard to find size. I know my size, and it’s not that hard to figure out your size — check the internet, lots of resources are available to help you fit yourself. What I was looking for specifically was something that would adjust with me as I go up a little with hormonal changes every month. Something with a little supportive stretch?
So anyway, as I expected, I walked in wearing the right size. Interestingly, fitter never told me my size, I needed to ask to confirm that just as I thought, I was already in the correct size. I showed her how my current bra gives a little spillage on one side for literally 4 days a month, and asked for something that would accommodate that, that I could still wear for the rest of the month. She brought me six bras that all «fit to the larger side» — they did not fit my smaller side at all, and there was no suggestion for what to do about this. They were all molded cup, so they were actually baggy on one side. She then gave me a lecture about how I’m harming my breast tissue if I’m wearing a too small bra. Again, I’m not, I just have some additional fullness on one side for a few days a month. All of these «fit to the larger side» bras, which I would supposedly wear for just a couple days a month, were in the price range of $ 120-​$ 165.
That price point might be fine if I was in love with the bra and it was a perfect fit — but I didn’t even like any of these bras. I didn’t like the fit, I didn’t think that they offered anything special in terms of lift or fullness or support. They looked worse the bra I walked in with, matronly and frumpy, with detailing would show under most tops. Four of the 6 had big embellished straps, wide with rose appliques and shit — this is a no go for me, I like simple, sleek styles. At one point, when I mentioned that I was worried about catching my ring on frilly lace (subtly trying to ask for a cleaner, more modern look), the salesperson harshly told me I should «always remove all of your jewelry before putting on your bra». Are you kidding me? Ain’t no one got time for that. I just didn’t need the lecturing attitude — there was a constant undertone that I must be doing something wrong. Putting my bra on wrong, scooping into the cups wrong, washing my bra wrong. Blah blah blah, all this info is online, I already know this, and frankly, it ain’t rocket science. I didn’t come here for a bra shaming, I came for a bra, Which you didn’t have, and didn’t even offer anything I wanted to purchase.
There was just a constant general negative vibe. After those 6 bras, I was told that’s it, we don’t have anything else for you to try. My fitting was less than 20 mins. I was informed multiple times that if I wanted to order another color, or bought more than one bra, or bought basically anything — it would be FINAL SALE. Final Sale was a phrase used more times than I could count. And remember, I hadn’t even liked anything yet! I haven’t said I want to buy it, but you want to tell me that I’m already stuck with it? You can keep it. As for me, even in my size, I can find a better selection at a department store for less than half the price, none of the attitude, better customer service, and a solid return policy. That’s no secret.

I like that they carry various sizes and offer professional measuring service. I have a bit of unusual size: 30DD, so I like getting my bras from this place.
Their price isn’t actually too bad if you give them the exact price range you’d like. I usually ask for bras that are under $ 100, and the ones that were brought out were about $ 50 – 70. This is around the same price as you’d pay for a Victoria’s Secret bra, so I don’t really have a problem with their pricing. Just be specific about the price range of that’s your concern :)
The reason I’m giving them only 3 stars is because of their display. As other reviewers already have mentioned, they have so many more models and designs inside the fitting room. It actually took me years (and I really mean years) to realize that they have more things at the back and I hadn’t shopped at this place until I found out how it works.
Another problem with having so many stock hidden from the customers is that, even if you do get a fitting, they don’t show EVERYTHING they have. They’d bring only 3 – 4 models according to your specification. (I’m sure they can bring out more, but I feel bad having them run in and out of the storage to get me things that I may not like)
I’m more of a spontaneous shopper who likes to browse around and buy something that I didn’t even had in mind, so shopping here is so hard for me. I probably have bought more lingerie from here only if I can get my eyes around all of their hidden stock. I don’t know why they’d do this. I really wish they’d just get over it and: a) upload pics of their every stock on their website/​social media b) have everything out on the floor, or c) bring customers a whole sample rack of bras in their size no matter what style/​colour.
I would really love to shop at this place more. Only if the stock is visible and unhidden from me :(

Where did these boobies come from? They’re certainly not mine. They’re perky, and huge and… painful. That’s right, folks, there’s an alien growing inside of me, and said alien believes it’s imperative that I my breasts grow along with my stomach.
My bras weren’t fitting right, and I was fairly certain the teenagers working at Victoria Secret weren’t going to be able to help me, so I messaged a mommy friend who even pre-​children was naturally, umm, blessed. She texted back straight away, «Secrets From Your Sister!!! Bathurst & Bloor!!!»
I checked out their hours and popped in on a Sunday. I didn’t have to wait for an appointment and they were very friendly and understanding. They taught me a lot about bras and I bought some maternity ones that will grow with me (hideous) and some slutty ones that still make me feel like a lady (frilly). Word to your sister, she’s very helpful.

I had been searching for a bra for over a week and a half (I’m a bit tricky to fit). I tried multiple stores to no avail. I had heard about Secrets from your Sister and decided to go in to look. I was so impressed with the staff (first and foremost) and the beautiful layout of the store. I explained my needs to one of the staff and she had an in training staff help fit me. Her name was Chantal and she will forever be my bra fitter. She was just amazing! In twenty minutes of arriving I was happily walking out with the perfect fitting bra within my budget. I work in the shoe industry and I know that everyone has different and unique needs when it comes to a proper fit. I immediately recognized that a bra fitting was very similar to shoes and was incredibly grateful for their expertise. If you haven’t been to Secrets from your Sister yet, I highly recommend you go.

I stopped in this store because I was drawn to the bras they had in the window. I knew that this place had larger sizes (I’ve been an F-​G cup since I was 18), and I love to check out any store that has cute stuff in my size. The main showroom had a few racks a bras, and I thought they were all super cute. The attendant said that they only have a few things out front, and that most of their product was in the back. Basically, you tell them what you’re looking for and they’ll find you products based on your specs. I saw a few bras I liked in the front and told them I was looking for something like that. I went through about a dozen bras (the woman who assisted me had a lot of suggestions based on what I liked), and was checked for size on each. I never felt pressured to buy anything, and the salesperson was very clear with fit, and if she didn’t like something about the fit, she would let me know.
I settled on two bras, one was a strapless bra that fit like a dream. Since I’m busty, I’d never been able to find a strapless bra that worked for me, but this bra was perfect! It’s even more comfortable to wear than my regular bras! The prices were very reasonable too, since good quality bras can easily cost $ 100 – 200. The bras I bought were about $ 60. I would definitely go back next time I’m in the market for new bras.

The fitting service here is super good, Kate was very professional and attentive. She helped me find two lovely bras which fit perfectly! After wearing the most uncomfy, ill-​fitting bras for the past couple of weeks, I’m really happy with my new bras.
Be prepared to fork out a lot of cash, as most of the bras cost around $ 130. That being said, they are investments and as long as they are looked after correctly (washed regularly by hand) they should (hopefully) last many years. My boobs are happy.

I’ve been to this store a few times with good results but my last trip there was the best yet. I went to purchase a bra for my wedding dress and was lucky to have Frankie assigned to me. She was very knowledgeable about fit, and extremely helpful. She is honest and doesn’t try to push something on you that she doesn’t think will work. I went there two days in a row before making a decision and she was patient, friendly and professional the whole time. I learned so much about fit and finding the best bra for my body.
When you make an appointment, ask for Frankie!

I to, have never really had a proper bra fitting. and i. didnt want to
the bay; where no one there, helps you. So, i needed to finally invest my time and money (and boobs) .But before i went to secret from your sister;i read some reviews from Unilocal.Most of the reviews were pretty good. And based on the service you recieve there (although the bras are at times a little pricy) i thought this is what i am looking for. so i went in today. I didnt book an appt .i just walked in. And it wasnt very busy, and i told one of the girls what i needed and what my price range was. She took my measurements. And i tried on. a few. The girl. was nice. I felt a little rushed though. It can be imtidating if you have never been there before. The store is pretty. and i. bought two

I had never had a proper fitting before coming here yesterday. I had been to one of the most popular lingerie stores and every time I went in I was sized differently! First 34B, then 32C then 32D. All were uncomfortable and did not feel right. From my time living in the Annex, I knew you didn’t just come to SFYS if you wanted a $ 30 cotton number, you had to be ready to invest in something that would probably cost $ 100 plus.
So I made my appointment and with the help of Reagan figured out the correct size. She brought be about 10 different bras and fitted them for me. She even took a look at the bra I was currently wearing and evaluated its strengths and weaknesses. She also told me that although 32C was my correct size, if I felt my 34C from other stores felt right, then I should be cool with that because I had to wear it although she felt the band was way too loose.
They do fit snug at this place, so if you are used to wearing a bra that is fairly «comfortable» but not supportive, then you’re really not going to enjoy being told what size you really are. I’m very averse to 32 because it feels tight and uncomfortable to me but in time I’m sure I will adjust, particularly to the bra I purchased that had very comfortable sides and band.
The only downside to this store is you are going to spend A LOT of money. It would be nice if they could carry some brands that are more in the $ 40-​$ 50 price range. I wanted to leave with two bras but really could only allow myself to buy one. But their stock is excellent quality and you are getting what you pay for. Never putting these in the washing machine!
Overall, the fitting was an excellent experience and I am truly happy that I went. Reagan was amazing and helped me out big time. Great experience and I will be back!

I was very put off from this place… I usually shop at Melmira’s bra boutique but they are closed on Sundays and my mother was here on a short visit and needed a few new bras… The only good point is they take walk-​ins but it’s all downhill after that.
It took ages to be greeted when we walked in, never mind the smugness of the lady that finally did speak to us — I made a comment that they must be very busy and won’t likely be able to fit us in and she said «oh we’re not busy, sometimes we just have to enjoy our Sundays too» sheesh. She then told us it would be 20 minutes to get a fitter ad my mother said she didn’t need a fitter since she had been fitted a year or so ago at another shop and knew exactly what brand, model, size and color she wanted. We were told the policy is fitter only — ok fine! But we waited over one hour before someone helped her. While she was getting fitted, I asked her if they carried a certain bra that I owned that needed replacing and they indeed had it in my size — but get this, their policy is you need to get fitted and alas!!! It was almost closing time so she said maybe I could come back another day!!! I didn’t even want to try it on, I already had two of the same bra at home and they were getting ratty so I wanted to buy a new one!!! I’ve never heard of a store that didn’t want a 140 dollar sale with no work needed on their part!!! Needless to say I will never go there again, I’ll stick to Melmira’s please and thanks! Oh and by the way, my mother did not buy a bra because after all that wait they didn’t have two of the styles she wanted and they didn’t have her size in the other two — - so much for waiting for fitters!!! A shop run by all young ladies who certainly lack the experience and business sense required in the competitive world! (oh and I’m 32 and I know better!)

This is the place to go if you want to find a bra which truly fits, especially in harder to find sizes. They’ll also track what you’ve bought in the past and keep your preferences on file.
Go in when you have time to do a proper fitting, even if you’re not ready to buy that day. Also worth trying on any other styles (such as sports bras) which you might want while you’re at it.
Their prices are high — bras range from about $ 70 to $ 200+. This is partly the higher-​end brands they stock, though their prices tend to be high even for the specific brands.

Okay so, from my experience if you want to be taken seriously in this store you need to walk in WITH GUSTO. (And preferably not on a weeknight past 5pm, or on a weekend at any time. If you’re a 9−5er, come on your lunch break or book a ‘doctors appointment’ off work.) At first, I meekly popped my head in a few times, did a lap and when staff completely ignored me because I look like a raggamuffin most of the time, I was like, ‘fuck those bitches!’ and left. This has happened to me more than once during rush hour (on my first few visits), but now I know that you gotta be confident and GO FOR IT. Walk in like you mean biz-​nass. Furreal. Assert yourself, ladies! It is worth it.
Anyway. I have had two successful and great trips here so far. For my fitting I made an appointment post-​5pm on a weeknight, had to wait for about 15 minutes for my fitter. (Bring a book!) Was sized at 30FF/​32 °F and was given a bunch of options to try. The first visit may be a bit of a crap shoot for bras, as the person helping you may not know your style yet, what you’re looking for, what your preferences are, etc. The better you can articulate that, the better they will be able to help something that suits your needs. I ended up walking away with three bras, all of which fit differently but great. One of them kept digging into my sternum painfully and left welts the first few times I wore it (ironically, this was the most expensive/​$ 250 bra) but I adjusted the straps a bit and the problem was fixed. That one is still a bit snug but the other two are great.
Second experience was good, quick, and dirty — I knew what I wanted and the fitter translated my ideas EXACTLY into the kind of bras I wanted. VERY very very happy especially with this second experience! Which is why I say go in KNOWING somewhat what ya want. They will help you exhaust your options.
Went to a diff store (not SFYS) in between my two visits… liked a few items and fitter was very nice, change room was a bit frumpy, and had very few items in my size. SFYS experience was much better — fast, efficient, and successful — got what I wanted in record time, day of. Walk in, walk out, good to go! Will rarely make the mistake of going elsewhere again, other than to check out different stock/​styles during sales.
What I love about this place is that the people working there generally have a good eye for style. While I’m sure many frumpy old ladies shop here, there are no frumpy old lady fitters here, nor will they give you anything that makes you look like that. They have a great selection of items, in a variety of styles, and a variety of sizes. Some bra stores I’ve been to, the selection looked a little ‘cheap’ and the styles were not fashion-​forward (ie too cliché/​905/​porno), but here everything is presented with care. They may sell items at a more expensive price than other stores (for the same item), but they will make sure you have the one that actually fits you and they will likely have the one for you in stock (ie in the right size and colour) so you don’t have to order it. Seriously, a few bra shops I have gone to said it might take them a month to get me a sports bra that fit, and all of this after hours in the fitting room. Fuck that. Do it right the first time and go here — they have the expertise AND the endless stock of merchandise.

I’ve bought three bras from this little shop in the last four years, and they are all in wonderful condition and make me feel amazingly confident and happy.
Yes, they are more expensive than, say, Target or Gap Body. But if you’re going to look ten pounds lighter, feel twenty years younger and smile every time you open your underwear drawer, it’s so worth it to invest in something beautiful and durable that will last and last.
It is always fun to visit the store, too. I kind of always knew that I wasn’t just a default 36B but I shied away from going to Secrets From Your Sister because getting a fitting seemed time-​consuming, not to mention invasive. Rest assured, these lovely, efficient women know what they are doing, and they’ll blow your mind with your true size (32E?!) and how amazing it feels to wear the right bra.
Edited in March 2015 to add: I’ve just bought bra number 4, but I was hesitant to show up at the store and request a fitting because I happened to have my toddler in tow. «Hey, would it be too much trouble for my kid to be in the dressing room with me?» I asked at the counter, and the staff member wordlessly sunk out of view. «Uh-​oh,» I thought, but then she reemerged with the biggest plastic tub of Legos and dinosaurs I have ever seen. My little one played happily while I shopped and was actually pretty reluctant to leave. Me too, frankly.

I came here an hour before closing time on Tuesday to stock up on bras. Even though they were fairly busy, Frankie took me into the changing room only a couple minutes after I put my name on the list for fittings. Also, there’s pretty much no point perusing the items on display while you’re waiting for your appointment. As they are a fitting store, most of the bras are out back and only the fitting ladies have access to them.
I am not their target audience and it shows in their selection of bras. A lot of frilly lacey somethings for ladies in their 30s and 40s. Even their selection of youngish items looked like a mom trying to pull off her teenaged daughter’s underthings. Still, I can’t judge them for that. After all, most twenty somethings don’t regularly splurge over $ 100 something per bra.
So, why the four stars? Because Frankie tolerated my lack of knowledge about bras, my saucy attitude, and gave me an amazing fit. Never has a bra felt so comfortable. She even taught me how to properly wear one. Apparently, there is technique to it, and I’ve been doing it wrong for a decade.
I walked away with four bras and a pair of panties. Sure, they kinda look like my mom’s things. But they’re hella comfy, they fit well, and they’re great quality. Plus, if I take care of them, they’ll fit well into my mom years.

Interesting concept of them sizing you up and then finding stuff for you from a secret stash of lingerie tucked away. They choose stuff based on what you’re looking for. I liked the idea of it.
Expensive but it’s really nice stuff. They give you free samples of Soak to clean your lingerie by simply soaking. It’ll be interesting to see how that works.
Unlike other users’ experience, I didn’t have a problem with waiting at all or having to make an appointment, and I went on a Saturday afternoon/​evening close to Christmas. Maybe I was luckier than most.
Service is friendly and very helpful. The associate helping me was trying to find stuff that would fit properly and wasn’t just trying to make a sale it seemed. She spent a good chunk of time and effort on helping me find the perfect thing.

My wife sent me over to make a purchase. The lady helping me was quick in finding what I was looking for and friendly.
The only minus I would give this place is that the person I was dealing with said they didn’t have bags. It was raining outside. Luckily I had made a purchase just before going here and had a bag already. If I’m going to be spending $ 100 in your store you should have bags for your customers.
