Second Cup

I’ve been to this location MANY times over the years, as it’s right across the road from my family doctor and dentist. Overall they meet the expectations for a typical Second Cup. Servers are friendly and attentive, one particular female server is exceptional at what she does and it’s always a pleasure to be served by her.
Shop is clean with comfortable décor. They have lots of seating for 1 – 2 people and the gas fireplace is a nice added touch to make this place inviting.
Today was the first time they ever got my order wrong (well only that they forgot to put whip on my drink. And really, did I need the whip anyway? Probably not!). Otherwise, everything was delicious.
However, what really left a bad taste in the mouth of my coffee companion and I was when an employee came over to a woman caring for a crying baby and asked her to leave the dining area as it was disturbing the customers. In a family, friendly neighbourhood such as North Toronto this is unacceptable! So moms beware!
Otherwise, I will definitely return to this location next time I have an appointment in the area.

Fast efficient service. Their speciality drinks are what keep me coming back and their service is what makes me enjoy my coffee in house.

This Second Cup gets a high rating for it’s convenient location and awesome summer patio with umbrellas. Inside is just as cozy, and the staff members are courteous and polite. I prefer it to the Starbucks down the street, which lacks warmth and of course… a patio! They have parking (limited…) and great customer service. When you visit regularly, you feel very welcome. One of the best ones in the city.

My de facto rating for chain anything is 2 – 3 stars, but this Second Cup gets that extra point purely for its location. With a big sunny patio situated right on a busy pedestrian corner in Forest Hill, this is a perfect place for sipping your coffee and watching the world go by.
We’ve always been happy with the service here, and like every other Second Cup, they do make a good coffee.

This Second Cup is comfy inside with their dark brown interior and comfy seats. The staff here is nice but they take forever in making the drinks which results in a huge messy line-​up during peak hours.
Also, baked goods and sandwiches are fresh and they usually have a good amount of things to choose from.
Overall, this Second Cup is okay. I would be inclined to stop here more often when I’m in the area if they did not take forever making the drinks.

This Second Cup is located right across the street from The Mad Bean (
) and down the street from Starbucks! Talking about competitions!
Second Cup will be the only choice because The Mad Bean is closed at 5 pm… so if you come by the evening hours. then Second Cup will be my choice.
I do enjoy the vast choice of drip coffees at Second Cup VS Starbucks which usually limited to 3.
