I love this second cup! Such classy décor! And coming from Alberta I can safely say the food and coffee options are much more expansive and delicious. I’m loving the double chocolate cheesecake!

This is the new second cup?! An unbelievable renovation with a new coffee bar, upgraded menu, friendly and efficient staff, and delicious menu items! Seriously worth a stop in compared to Timmys or sbux. Hands down my new favorite coffee chain when I visit Toronto

In the land of Charbucks on every corner, this is a pleasant change. Great for a cup of joe, a morning meeting or needing to post up and write a class paper

Came to this coffee stop in Canada because it was so close to the CN tower. There is no «Second Cup» in the U.S. So I had to try this place out. Let’s talk about the espresso. The roast had an acidic yet caramel sensation at the same time had an earthy tone which was not bitter to the taste. I ordered the vanilla bean latte and the flavors were well balanced and not too sweet. This is def a good coffee joint from my point of view.

This location is quite special. It is fancy, huge, bright and lots of seating. I really like their bar stool area especially with the street view and comes with their superbly, magnificent marble table! This location is also not far from the CN Tower, in fact; you can see it sitting down at their bar stools while enjoying your favorite beverage. By the way, they even provide you wireless charging! That is a huge plus for me! Second Cup in my humble opinion, would be considered like Peet’s Coffee in the US, great coffee, except nicer, fancier and has a «Frenchy» influence. I didn’t know they have more than 300 location in Canada and growing! Some I was told are Franchised, and quite possibly this one, which made sense since it seemed to cater to its neighborhood and customer service was excellent! I «gotta» tell«ya…» they made me a super duper, cappuccino that put a smile on my face, and… my cupcake which I forgot what the flavor was since it was that good… was out of this world, fantastic! If you are in the downtown Toronto area on King Street, come pay a visit to Second Cup and enjoy their comfy sitting area where you will have a room with a view, a wireless charging and plenty of charging ports. Best of all, they will provide you excellent coffee and service! Until then, bonjour and be kind to one another and Cheers! ~ :p

Beautiful new redesign of the space. I love the bar taps with milk and cream on pour. I also love the bright and retro atmosphere. It is perfect for the entertainment district.

We are visiting Toronto for the weekend and have been to Second Cup twice. It looks like there are several locations throughout the city. The flat white is really good if you like plain espresso and steamed milk(no added sugars). My mother had the pumpkin spice latte which was so much better tasting than Starbuck’s version. The chamomile tea here is also nice and actually smells strongly of chamomile! My favorite item here is the blueberry scone, so good! It’s hardly sweet which I found so refreshing since everything in the U.S. is overly sweetened. I may pick up one of these scones to take back with me to the states before leaving. If you’re torn between Starbucks and Second Cup, I hope you will choose Second Cup!

Best second cup concept store! Super impressed with the experience and design. They have a slow bar, phone chargers at the tables and lots more. Worth checking out!

Out of the choices close by this is the best for sitting and enjoying a cup of joe. The place is clean and has decent wifi with ok seating inside and out. Don’t be tempted by the Tim horton’s across the street or the Starbucks a block away, this place is the best choice of the three. Which is why I gave it 5 stars when it really is just a 4, better by comparison.

Brand new interior is fantastic, bright white colours make it very exciting and redesigned corporate image makes this store a solid competitor to the Starbucks close by. Wireless chargers are great but I don’t find them that powerful. Prices expensive but that appears to be the new image they are trying to take on. Slow bar is great of you want to sit and socialize.

I had to visit this café while in Toronto because there was a store everywhere. It was almost like the Starbucks in California. They have an amazing Frozen Hot Chocolate! I wish they had these cafes in California! The drink had the right amount of creaminess and chocolate richness. The ice did not water down the drink. I can’t say much more but I will definitely be back when I return to Toronto! The reason I’m only giving Second Cup a 4⁄5 stars is because the cashier(who was very nice) sold me on the Nutella cookie, but failed to give it to me. Really sad face. By the time I realized I hadn’t got my cookie I was on my way out of town. The store was clean and well displayed.

I visited this newly renovated Second Cup for a take out order, so I didn’t have time to enjoy their new slow bar. The baristas were really nice and friendly which is always great, especially on a Monday morning. My drinks were well made in pretty cups, and my chocolate almond croissant was also warmed up without me having to ask. This Second Cup is for sure on my good cafes to visit list! Definitely different from the ones you’re used to, and is much more like a hipster independent café, not a big chain run one. The milk dispensing tap is a genius idea… Starbucks has some serious competition!

My favourite Second Cup location to relax and charge my phone while I work on my emails. This is one of the newly renovated locations that are designed to modernize Second Cup, along with the new app that you can scan to pay with. When you walk in, there’s brass, wood, and marble everywhere, giving it a very upscale feel that bests Starbucks. The milk and crème come out of a tap which is a bit weird, but I went along with it. In the middle is the slow bar where you can sit down, charge your phone using the wireless chargers freely given, and order a pour over or any other drink and pay while you’re seated. For me, this is a very unique experience, and the baristas are very friendly and welcoming. One time I overheard a couple from Hamilton talk to a barista for over 15 mins and he was patient enough with them and answered all their questions. This is the Second Cup that made me decide to give this chain a … wait for it. another chance.

When you walk in you immediately think 2 things — first that it is really nice in here and second — wait are you actually in a Second Cup?! This place has a fresh and clean/modern look to it. In fact it is the nicest Second Cup I have ever been to. It no way resembles the dark and dingy coffee shop we are all thinking about when we think if SC. Considering the location and the amount of foot traffic this place should be way bigger. It’s pretty small and seats fill up fast(b/c here you actually want to sit and sip and chat!) The staff are really nice and will make something off the menu if you want. You can also sit at the ‘bar’ and order their steampunk coffee! While the vibe is more clean than steampunk it’s still a pretty great SC

We had a pour over that was so smooth and robust at the same time. No cream or sugar required. I also tried my first butter tart, quite nice. I can’t wait to go back and try the steampunk method. I love the pleasant décor and relaxed setting.

After this second cup changed their management, although they got a new look, the coffee is nasty and so is the food! I swear their dark roast tasted like urine and they don’t even carry a sandwich selection that other places carry. The new look is not even necessary. There is no space to sit anymore especially during rush hours.

Music selection sucks. Lattes great. People at cash are cute. I guess that’s all you really need to know before stepping into a café, right?

A few bites from our blog: «Upon entering, we found the interior quite impressive — whites and greys predominated — grey marble counters, stylish wooden wireless phone charging stations and plenty of high chairs.: «Their modern steam pink station was a bit like an alchemist lab, with a bean grinding station, presses, even simple and stylish dripping equipment. James, their friendly barista, was self-thought and answered all our curious questions.» «We savoured our scones under an attic roof-like imitation ceiling. The White Cheddar Chive Scone was my favourite, it was just the right texture and the flavours worked very well together. « This is just a bite of our full review.

I’m not sure about the whole«steam punk» concept. I know that’s the look they’re trying to go for, but it definitely wasn’t the vibe I got visiting this location. I felt that the design scheme was much more«trendy coffee shop» than«steam punk» which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. This newly renovated location is open and inviting. It has lots of seating, big windows to let in natural light, and wireless charging stations for your cell phones. Other than the décor this is just a standard corporate coffee shop. They serve decent coffee and tea made any way you like it with a variety of milk and flavouring options. There wasn’t anything here that really blew me away but I wasn’t disappointed either. Regardless, I always find it difficult to review chain coffee shops as I usually end up rating them against each other. That being said, while I’ve been to better coffee shops, this was probably the best Second Cup I have ever been to.

Newly renovated Second Cup which reminds me of Nespresso at Yorkville. I was curious to see what this particular location had to offer as it is one of the first to be renovated to a more«upper scale» café. The interior is very nicely decorated and offers spacious seating area to one side of the café. I especially liked the cream and milk dispensing centre as it uses a push down knob tap design– much like a water dispenser. However, there were no changes or additions to the food and drink menu options. In fact, this location no longer serves flavoured coffee, which had always been my favourite drink to get at Second Cup. My coworker ended up ordering a regular coffee which he was disappointed with as well as the coffee tasted almost burnt. I’m impressed with how they have renovated this location, however I was disappointed with their food and drink options available.
