This is my go to dog park in the summer. It has a great layout that doesn’t feel like it has the dogs caged in. There is a water fountain and benches to sit on as your puppy plays. One of the best in the city.

The park is incredibly well maintained. I see lawn mowers here regularly. Everyone is super friendly — especially in the off leash dog area. All the owners and walkers will chat with each other. Only thing about the off-leash area is that it’s only 75% fenced. Thankfully, the off leash area is bordered by the park so if your pup runs away, you have a chance to catch him/her before they dash on to the road. As a walker, I come here pretty much everyday(usually multiple times a day) and am I the only one that sees an old man almost naked sunbathing ALLDAY everyday? I mean unrelated to the park, this cannot be good for that man’s skin! And I see him lounging there no matter the day no matter the time. KIDS(and seniors) WEARSUNSCREEN. Or at least don’t bake in the sun for 12 hours a day everyday.

Great outdoor shinny in the winter, especially Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10 – 12. See you all out there.

I grew up next to Ramsden Park and have fond childhood memories here. The park, which is a little run-down(yes, I’ll admit, some patchy grass but Trinity Bellwoods suffers there too!) it still boasts some great benefits to its community, namely: — kids wading pool(free grazed knees is a right-of-passage for all) — off-leash dog park at it’s West-end(close to Avenue Road) — tennis courts which double as rinks in the winter — re-vamped stair cases(formerly treacherous) It’s also a stone’s throw from Rosedale Subway station. A great alternative to the pack TB with many similar amenities without so much crowding. Very close by to some Unilocal favourites including: 1. Black Camel Café(for java) 2. Rebel House Restaurant(for beers)

I always take Ramsden Park as a short cut whenever I need to walk from Rosedale Station to Davenport/Annex, really enjoyable walk doesn’t matter what seasons. Softball Diamond, Skating/Hockey Rink, Children’s Play area and even Tennis Courts! Great off leash dog park area with an active Dog Owner’s Association. you can find them on Facebook if you want to find some playmates for your dogs. Activities for all ages and all seasons… Or you can just like me, taking a leisure walk is as refreshing! The street parking across the tennis courts and skating rink is only 1 hour from 10 am to 3 pm, other time you will need a permit… just in case you are driving down!

To clarify J.H.‘s comment there is a full-sized hockey rink with boards, nets, and a great player’s bench. Beside the rink is another ice pad about ¾ the length and ½ the width of the rink. It’s perfect for a skate while shinny is being played on the rink. I’ve played about 4 times at Ramsden this winter and plan to go as often as possible while the ice is still available. It’s zamboni’d often, the staff are courteous and helpful, the ice is great when the conditions are right(not too often in Toronto!) but you have to be careful when it’s around 5C or above because it’ll get really slushy in some parts. Thanks to the Maple Leafs for sprucing up this rink a few years ago. Everything is top notch.
