This rabba store is absolutely disgusting. The old man that is the cashier makes me wanna throat punch him. He is rude and grumpy and has NO manners. He also tried to scan products twice when I went to get more potatoes. I only go to the this rabba maybe once a year. And even that’s too many times.

I have been visiting Toronto and was looking for a decent place to grab a bite. I stumbled upon this place and ordered for the lunch potion of the chicken slovaki. The food was amazing. The guy at the food counter grilled the chicken right in front of me when I was waiting for my order. My 2 year old who is a picky eater loved it too. I would go there again and would highly recommend the slovaki.

Employees that are mopping the floor should take off their gloves or wash their hands before checking out peoples items. it’s really gross otherwise. the store is dated, items are disorganized and the produce is not fresh. the only redeeming features are that it’s 24 hours and the shawarma is not bad.

I’m glad there’s a 24 hour grocery store in the area, but they definitely need to ensure fresher food. I saw mold on bread, dried out salmon pieces and counters that can use a wipe down. I mainly stuck to the packaged foods such as bottled water, canned goods, eggs and crackers.

Well, I decided to walk from Union Station to Echo Beach(I’m a maniac like that), and I needed some sustenance along the way. After passing some more expensive options, I almost gave up and went into a Subway when this place popped up. There was a sign that promised a chicken souvlaki pita for about $ 5, and I love me some souvlaki, so I went in. Didn’t get it though. Noticed they had falafels, so falafels I got. I ordered them in a pita with everything on it; the man who served me was friendly and chatty and gave me a potato wedge to snack on while I waited(it was crispy and perfectly seasoned, in case you were wondering). He made the falafel balls right in front of me — it doesn’t get much fresher than that. As he handed it over, he asked me if it was my first time there. I said yes. Then he told me that I would be back. He’s right; I will be. It was the best falafel I have ever had. I only ordered a medium(there’s a large as well) but it was huuuge! And the combination of flavours, aaaah! Do yourself a favour and go here, right now. Go. Run.

This store caters to last minute shoppers on this stretch of residential area. Prices can be taxing if one does a last minute pickup though their weekly promos can make stuff reasonable. Medium sized store with variety of produce and daily items. Now the problem is the Giant loblaws which is a 10 – 15 min walk has also gone 24 hours so the charm of 24 hours shopping is a hard sell than before. Staff was friendly on both my visits here. Other than I don’t see a point of why I would shop here.

It’s a convenient mini grocery store with the basic essentials with a bit of a middle eastern influence. Falafel and baklava anyone? I like the fact that they carry Dufflet and La Rocca cakes, perfect for those special occasions. This place is conveniently located at Queens Quay near Rees St for the perfect for the folks who live in the Harbourfront area.

I grabbed lunch here at their deli. I’m really picky about falafel, and this place did not disappoint! I had the falafel plate complete with tabouleh, hummus, baba ghannouj, pita bread, and salad. The amount of food I was given was enough for three of me! The food was fresh and incredibly tasty. The falafel was cooked perfectly. I can’t wait to go back and try the chicken shawarma!

24-hours!!! This tiny little Rabba is great for a few little things when you’re strolling along Queens Quay. They have a very odd selection of certain items which actually can be very handy if you’re trying to make a Thai soup at 3am and forgot you need some coconut cream or a big-ol’ tub of palm oil. The selection if ice-cream and frozen treats is decent but pricey. They are of course taking advantage of the condo dwellers in the immediate vicinity since a great deal of them are transportation-ally-challenged urbanites who either can’t do the bi-weekly stockup at a big-box store or are to challenged in the cullinary arts to consider that sort of venture. They do have a reasonable price for whole roasted chickens which are much better(and cheaper) than the Swiss-Chalet right next door. They don’t have that dipping sauce, but if you aren’t a fan or can tell the tang is just a hit of Worcestershire sauce with a few other spices with some chicken stock and thickener, then you’re way better off grabbing the bird here with the fries.(WAY less than half the price and way less packaging than dinner @ SC) I’ve never had a falafel here, but the look good as well as the tabbouleh and other falafel fixin’s. I’m sure I’ll try one eventually. Sadly for this business a larger Sobeys moved in a block closer to my humble abode.

Hailing my favourite Falafel sandwich in the city(who knew right???), this Rabba Fine Foods Store is on my list of places to hit up starting tomorrow. The staff is incredibly friendly, and like I said, they make a MEAN Falafel sandwich. Their fries are super crispy and tasty as well. MMMMMMMM. They’ve got quite a selection of goods you’d want access to 24 hours a day, and especially when you’re stumbling home at 3am on the weekend. Yes, they’ve got Ben & Jerry’s, chips, chocolate and junk food galore, as well as some fresh produce and a ‘prepared on the spot’ food counter. Whether you’re stopping in to prevent a mean hangover, or whether you’re on your way for a long walk along the harbourfront, this place has got something for everyone.
