I usually get a shellac manicure once every 2 — 3 weeks, and a pedicure perhaps every 4 — 5 weeks. The ladies are super friendly without being overly chatty. My nails usually stay in pretty good shape for a solid 2 weeks, considering that I train martial arts and am at the gym almost every day. There has been the odd occasion where my nails chipped prematurely, but it hasn’t happened often enough for me to stop being a customer. Their price is fair, given their location and market rate. Would definitely recommend.

I was around the area for the day and was keen on getting my nails done. Walked in another place(The Ten Spot) but it was fully booked so I walked another block up and came across this place, which is conveniently located near Tim Hortons. Their colour selection is decent but smaller and than other nail salons I’ve been to. A few pros to this place was being able to walk in and get serviced almost immediately and having the option to pay before getting your nails painted(although I prefer paying after the service is done to determine the right amount of tip). However, what I do not particularly like is the rushed manicure job that was made, having to constantly remind the manicurist that I wanted squared off nails(both kept rounding out the edges that I almost wanted to grab the nail file to do them myself), and the fact that one of the nails is already dented due to the fact that it was not completely dry(even though the lady said I could leave). If you can wait to get your nails done at a better location(one that you may frequent), then I’d definitely do that.

I wish I got one of the older ladies because I just got the fastest pedicure ever. And that’s not a good thing. My pedicure was ok but a younger girl did it and she was finished in 15 min. I don’t know, I just don’t feel like she cared all that much and just wanted to rush though my pedicure. It was supposed to be a birthday treat to myself and now I’m pretty disappointed.

The salon has a great look and is clean however that means nothing when the person doing pedicures is horrible. The pedicure was rushed and had I had to ask the women twice to redo some of the cuticle clean up and she did not buff my nails nor did I receive a foot massage which is usually part of a pedicure treatment. To add she cut a huge piece of my baby toenail off which left it mismatch. When I pointed this out she told me that is how my nail was(it was not). By the way the 1 star is only placed because Unilocal requires if not it.

I’ve been going to pretty 1 nail spa since they opened last yr. The service has been amazing! The owner is very friendly. Everytime I get my nails done, my friends love them. They also last very long! I always ask for special designs on couple of my fingers, they always help me to choose the colour to suit my hands. Their store looks very clean and neat as well. I would definetely recommend this store.

They only get 1 star because you can’t leave a review without giving a star. This place is ridiculous and I will never be back. I received a gift voucher for a mani pedi and was really looking forward to it. WORST mani pedi ever. They rush everything even though they weren’t busy. They cut my nails so short that my fingers actually hurt and my big toe feels like it’s going to have an ingrown toe nail. I had 2 smudged nails before I even left the salon! I was so annoyed i didn’t even ask her to fix them, I just wanted to get out of there. They got smudged because she didn’t help me put my boots back on(like my usual place does) and this was after asking«would you like to pay before nails so you don’t ruin them?» When I left an(undeserved) tip she looked at me and said«is this for both?» As one lady did my pedi and one did my mani. I’m sorry but I don’t fall for you tricks of ‘sharing the workload’ to try make more tips off people. I have told and will continue to tell people not to go here. So so so disappointed!!!

Not impressed. I went in based on another review I read on here, but clearly the quality with Shellac and regular polish are not the same. I had a manicure done yesterday and it is already chipping. The girl who did mine didn’t do any finishing on the end of the nails, like most places do, so of course it would chip easily. I asked her about it and she didn’t have any idea what I was talking about. I watched the two other ladies, and they also didn’t do it, so I expect they will have some other unhappy clients. Will not be going back here, total waste of $$ for a polish I could have done myself.
