I really like this nail salon. I never make an appointment and they always serve me right away. The mani pedi combo (at the same time) makes you feel like a goddess. The technicians take direction well, if you like your nails done a certain way, and they are quite efficient. The prices are competitive too! Love this spot.

I really liked my first visit here. I went in without an appointment at 11am (Opening time) on a Sunday. I was cheerfully greeted by one of the nail techs and shown to a seat. There were already 2 other ladies getting mani-​pedis. I chose to get a French mani which comes to $ 20+tip. My nail tech was great! I was a little wary of the cuticle removal as my previous experience at a different, highly rated salon was a painful experience that left me with bruised and bloody cuticles. I’m very happy to say my experience here was the exact opposite! My nail tech was super careful and worked quickly. When I wanted a thicker white line, she quickly fixed it to my satisfaction. The salon itself is very clean and they were constantly sweeping the floor and dusting the chairs. Cash is preferred and there’s a $ 1.75 charge for using Visa. Overall a great experience and will be back for sure.

Since this place was taken over by new management a couple of years ago, I think the old reviews should probably be ignored. I can only speak to the Mani/​pedi services offered here but I’ve been quite a few times. They do a very nice job and the staff are extremely professional. Its clean but not to the level of Nail Sense, that’s for sure.

This place is just OK, at best. It is up a long flight of very steep and dangerous stairs with a railing that ends partway! Once upstairs, the person sitting at the reception desk is not friendly. VERY HOT IN HERE WITH NO AIR CONDITIONING. Not very clean. The manicurists vary so greatly from one to the other. Also, they are more expensive than most of the other «cheap» nail salons in the area.

First experience was okay. the lady did a thorough job. But it took 2 hours for a mani pedi which I was not expecting. The second time I went was Awful. the girl who did my mani pedi was very rude and rough. She stabbed me with the cuticle cutters and was over all very rushed and unpleasant. The worst part about my experience was that she used a disgusting old nail file. What happened to one time use? This place definitely is not clean. Will not be returning. Not worth. The risk of getting a bacteria infection.

I went in on a Wednesday afternoon to get my nails done with Gelish (similar to shallec but a different brand). The service was «meh» at best. They rushed me to pick a colour while they took off the shallec I already had on my nails. Instead of taking it off with a wooden stick, they scrapped my nails with a metal tool (ouch!). I complained about it being too rough and she said «it’s fine it won’t come off otherwise».
Now it’s been one week and some of my nails have changed colour (from a nude pink to a yucky beige) and I’m in need of a colour change. Will not be going back.

I love planet nails, this nail salon was recommended to me by my best friend and I have loved it since! Their service is amazing. I often ask for Tiffany because personally I think she’s great at what she does and she does everything with care.
The only reason why I’m giving this a four-​star review is due to the fact that sometimes when served by the other ladies, the manicure sessions are done too fast. When something is done too fast I don’t feel like it was enough (lol), but that’s just me.
Once you’re done a manicure or pedicure, the gentleman in the salon helps you put on your coat and/​or shoes so that your newly done nails are not ruined. Love that.
Their prices are actually pretty fair and inexpensive like other places. A manicure is $ 15 + tax/​tips, a pedi starts around $ 20 – 25, and a mani and pedi start from $ 30.

I have around a year visiting this place. I’ve tried other ones but definitely this is my place to do my mani-​pedi. Reasonable price, girls already recognize me (not by my name but I do see their happy faces upon my arrival). The only thing I don’t feel comfortable with is when they are speaking in their language and some times I get tempted to think they are talking about me :(I really recommend them: good and fast service, good price, clean utensils, nice and huge variety of colours… what else can you ask for?

Great price for a long last shellac manicure. Appointments or walk ins are handy if you drop in. they also speed up the process if needed, I was out in less than an hour with all services complete!

Went there for a full-​face threading and was not impressed. The woman who threaded me seemed to be rushed and when I got home, it was apparent that I’ve had better threading done. Bit disappointing. It wasn’t the worst threading job I have ever had — but definitely and without a doubt, have had better.

This is still my fave nail salon in the whole city! I’ve been trying other places, and it seems like I always end up here. They have a great selection of colours from both OPI and Essie (and China Glaze, I think). I usually get regular mani/pedi’s.
I prefer going during off-​peak times, b/​c 2 girls can work on you at once, which means getting a full mani/​pedi and drying time — gets you in and out in less than an hour. I maintain that this is the only place that gives me a manicure that lasts 10 full days (no shellac required).
At $ 35 for a mani/​pedi, you can’t go wrong!

Went here wtih my manager on our lunch break the other day. Very friendly and reasonably priced. I’m not one to get manicures very often, as the polish usually chips within a day or two, but so far, so good. Just be aware, they only accept cash and debit cards.

They are cheap. And that’s all I can say. Don’t even think about getting their shellac — it’s NOT shellac, it’s something else, and it will peel off a few days later. If you come back and complain, they will CHARGE you for another shellac — as absurd as it seems.
It is not clean, service is not good. I tried waxing, too. The girl left me alone, with wax on my legs, to answer the phone, then came back. Worst salon I’ve been to.
So, if you hate someone, recommend him/​her this place!

I went here after getting a horrible set of UV gel nails at a salon located in Dufferin mall (behind the jewelry store).
Not only was the service quick and polite but the girl spoke to me but didn’t make me feel like we had to HAD to talk. Totally at ease.
The job she did was brilliant and the price was right!
I was here a week before to get my eyebrows waxed and although the wax was a little too hot and the woman was a bit abrupt, I was pretty pleased with the speed of service and the end result. I’ll definitely go back.

It’s sad that I have to drop a couple of stars for Planet Nails, but it’s not the same since I first came here.
The staff is friendly, but they are a little unorganized and easily distracted. The entire place stinks like chemicals and I thought I was going to pass out. It doesn’t help that the tiny pedicure area in the back has no ventilation. It would really help if this place got an air-​purifier. Also, I noticed that the pedicure basins were cleaned very quickly without too much attention which made me question the cleanliness of this place.
On top of everything else, their mani/​ped is $ 40– more expensive compared to many other better nail salons. I don’t think I’ll ever come back here again.

I’ve been here numerous times –with friends, with my daughter, with my mom — and they never show any sign of recognition. They don’t have a box for my personalized file, etc. You wait the same time whether you have an appointment or not. I’m never convinced the equipment is sterile as nothing is opened from a sealed package and I have yet to see them take stuff out of the autoclave — then again, maybe it’s just a toaster-​oven! The last time I was there, the pedicurist kept massaging my right leg and forgot to do the left! When I had the nerve to point it out to her, she started talking in Vietnamese to her colleague. I was only to assume it was about me. And then after giving my left leg cursory attention, guess what? She massaged my right leg some more!
What they’re good for: adequate colour on your toes and fingers — but any salon can do that.
