With a review like Phillip Jessie j’s, how could I resist this place? It’s a perfectly fine dive with friendly service. We had breakfast today, but I had a grilled cheese and fries a couple of weeks ago which was about what one would expect. Greasy spoon grilled cheese and fries. What more could one ask for? Anyway, today’s breakfast was also quite acceptable. The early bird special(before 11, methinks) is comprised of 3 eggs, bacon, home fries, toast and coffee(with one refill, officially) for 4.25! Beat that for a deal. This place ranks right about the middle of the 40 or so breakfast places I’ve reviewed here(see my «Breakfast Places» link below).

This is now in the location where Deep Blue used to be, Deep Blue is apparently a fish and chips chain from the UK, I suppose this was their only North American Branch. Best Fish and Chips I have ever had. Now we have Peters Place, a shitty diner. The former owner of the new york café(located right next door) opened this up to be a dick to his former establishment. They have a pretty good breakfast deal, 3 eggs, sausage, ham, bacon, toast, and homefries, and probably more stuff I’m forgetting. all for about $ 7. Food poisoning is complimentary. After eating here I fell critically ill for about 4 days, and it took me about two weeks to regain my normal health and appetite. All this less than a week before my birthday, thanks Peter. 4 days of constant delirium and illness, best birthday present ever. I wont go into the horrible details but this is the worst sickness I have ever encountered, I have gotten mild sickness even from places I enjoy, I know it happens sometimes but this is no excuse. especially considering this used to be the location of the best fish and chips in the city. A former worker of deep blue told me they were driven out by the asshole landlord, who wanted this diner in there more. If you ever see that prick, punch him in the nuts.
