Acupuncture is an ancient healing modality and a major facet of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The acupuncturist uses fine needles inserted at specific points along pathways in the body (meridians) to improve the flow of energy (Qi) and blood, restoring the body’s natural balance.
Shiatsu, a Japanese form of bodywork which is sometimes called «acupuncture without needles», recognizes and uses the same meridian system as acupunture to achieve its results. The shiatsu therapist uses her thumbs, palms, elbows and knees to apply comfortable, sustained pressure to key areas on the body.
Because acupuncture encourages and helps to unlock the body’s inherent ability to heal itself, it is safe and effective for people of all ages, with a wide range of conditions. It is often employed as preventative medicine for this very fact. To find out more, please visit: www.perfectharmonyshiatsu.com
