History

Established in 2003.

In 2003 Jay Eckert created a small freelance design practice that grew at an exceptional pace. In 2008 Jay expanded his creative team and rebranded as Parachute Design with a visiton to create successful web, mobile and branding solutions. In the last ten years, we’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of great clients in just about every industry you can imagine.

This variety of clientelle not only keeps our job interesting, but adds to our experience in working with clients of all shapes and sizes.

Jay Eckert, R.G.D. M.

Business Owner

Jay graduated from the three-​year Seneca College graphic design program in 2003 and quickly received his Registered Graphic Designer (R.G.D.) designation in 2007. For the last decade Jay has been honing his skills in the creative industry working in web, mobile and print design.

Jay is also a recognized photographer and maintains a photo blog as a hobby at www​.onet​hou​sand​words​.ca. Though serving primarily as a hobby and alternative creative outlet, Jay has received several commendations that recognize his photographic talent from various photography competitions and been published in several outdoor-​focused magazines.
