The kids love the teachers and the classes. Teachers are great and can motivate the kids in class and to commit to going to class(if you have kids you know what I mean). Me, I’d like a better place to wait and to have my kid be able to change that doesn’t feel like Union Station during popular class times. Way too crowded during peak times. Impossible to wait for smaller kids. Airless and anxiety inducing. Try different strategies until your kids get older and can go by themselves. I favour getting a coffee or a pint on St. Clair instead of waiting in the school. Oakwood studio I walk down to the library or go to Jack’s Bakery for a coffee. Not much at Oakwood and Vaughn I want to check out(ever). We thought the Oakwood studio might be better organized but the space for waiting, changing and hanging coats is tiny. Sad that they weren’t able to make the most of a new giant 2nd floor space and have to share it with a Aikido studio when they obviously are full to bursting with dancing. Nice large studios for dance training but man they are not spending a penny on waiting areas, change rooms, washrooms or coat/boots at either location. The annual recital is a commitment financially and with your time, but again, professional quality dance photos and a great show can make it worth it. New parents to the school need to take a lot of deep breaths and time off work for the recital. Not a lot of patience to be found at the OSB office with people who don’t «get» the dance parent thing.
