Description

Specialties

Nielsen Fitness is an in-home personal training company serving Toronto and some surrounding areas.

We bring the workout to our clients, in their homes, condos, workplaces, and local parks.

We are proud to offer two levels of personal training service: Express is our quickest — 45 minute — and most cost-effective option. A great choice if you are looking for motivation, proper instruction, and awesome results.

Our Platinum sessions are an hour in length and include a personalized program to do on your own, and other extras including nutritional analysis and guidance — perfect for someone looking for second-to-none service or dealing with an injury or other special circumstance.

History

Established in 2006.

Nielsen Fitness has grown steadily over the years from a one-man show into a thriving small business with a large team of trainers, two chiropractors and an assistant manager, in addition to owner and founder Poul Nielsen.

As a group, we consider ourselves very lucky to get to work each and everyday towards our mission of helping people (just like you!) live longer, healthier, fuller lives through physical fitness.

Meet the Business Owner

Poul N.

Business Owner

Poul began his career as a personal trainer in 2000, after completing the Fitness & Lifestyle Management Program at George Brown College. After realizing that large gyms aren’t for everyone (himself included), he started Nielsen Fitness with the goal of providing highly effective and safe workouts to clients, as conveniently as possible. And that’s what he’s been doing ever since.

Poul is focused on continuing education and is constantly working to expand his knowledge of both fitness and business. In 2011 and 2012 he was fortunate enough to be hired by George Brown College to update the curriculum for, and teach, one of their personal training courses.

Poul has spent many years competing in strength athletics, including the Ontario Strongman circuit. Today he exercises for health and long-term sustainability. He lives in midtown Toronto with his wife and two young children.
