History

Established in 1990.

Through hard work and dedication, our gymnasts here at Salut RG have amassed amazing results. Our team has produced Canadian champions for the last 10 years – Pan-​American Champions, Junior Pan-​American Champions, Bronze medalists at the Youth Olympic Games; our Senior Group was the first ever group in Canada’s history to represent the nation in group rhythmic gymnastics competitions at the London 2012 Olympic Games. In the immediate future, our Senior National Group plans in compete in the 2014 Youth Olympics hosted in Nanjing, China; our senior champion, Patricia Bezzoubenko, plans to compete in individual at the 2015 Pan-​American Games hosted here in Toronto. Our top ranked gymnast plans to represent Canada at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro; additionally, our youngest gymnasts are steadily working their way towards competing for spots at the Youth Olympics in 2018 and eventually, the 2020 Olympic Games.

Meet the Business Owner

Svetlana Joukova S.

Business Owner

Svetlana is a prominent member of the Canadian and international rhythmic gymnastics community – she is a Level 4 NCCP Coach, and regularly qualifies both Individual gymnasts and Groups for Elite Canada, Canadian Championships, National Teams, and international assignments. As an RG Brevet judge, she is regularly invited to judge Canadians as one of two Ontario judges, whilst also representing Canada on her international judging assignments.

Svetlana plays a lead role in the Ontario Junior Group Development Program, and her Senior Group performed exceptionally at the recent World Championships in Mie, Japan. She is the current national Chair of the Rhythmic Technical Committee, and has previously been the Provincial Judging chair.
